According to Microsoft's Major Nelson, users who signed up for the New Xbox Experience will get an email today to let them know if they have been accepted into the private beta. Only those who got in will get an email. Anyone get an email?
Unfortunately I didn't get into the NXE Program, but I can wait. However, Microsoft sent me an email on the 27th with this exact subject heading:
"CyborgXbox: See the New Xbox Experience Now."
I thought they chose me! All it was is a link to the website with a Flash preview. Way to tease me, Microsoft. :P They'll send it out soon, no worries.
I signed up, but no email yet. It's still pretty early in the day. Plus, I think I read that today they let you know you're in, but you don't get to download it today.
Yeah, that's correct. I will probably get screwed because I traded in my launch day 360 that had 4 ROD's for a new arcade unit. I have the 120gb hard drive but to them it might look like I only have the arcade based on my console ID.
There was only a couple hour period to signup. They said once they reached a certain number, they wouldn't accept anymore applications. Even then, they only take a certain number of people that applied.
Nothing yet. According to the sign-up, you will only get an email if you're accepted, not if you don't make it in. So i would assume if you don't get an email today, you didn't get in.
Yeah i thought i was a perfect candidate too. Had Live since launch, Gold account, Netflix, fast download speed........pretty disappointing i didn't get in.
Judging from the replies on Twitter and majornelson.com, 5 people got in, apparently all in New Zealand, and 4 million were rejected. (slight exaggeration)
ok a bit of topic but a friend of mine downloaded the NXE beta but now he cant access LIVE so he wants to know how to get rid of it and go back to the original dashboard ?.......
