Hard? Really?! That would be great for this series in someways! I have played the demo of Legend and it was way too easy.

Maybe you could bring your friend here to talk about the game, like a celebrity guest!

I feel like I'm on the Conan O'Brien Show! Only I may dance!

It's most definitely not hard, unfortunately. I walked through the "puzzles" in no time, with no effort or thought. The game kind of rails you along towards your next objective, and the demo to me felt incredibly linear. The combat is lackluster as well, since when you come upon an enemy all you have to do is dodge roll repeatedly until you have some distance, then hold the fire button and plug away. The only deaths i encountered were due to shoddy collision detection with some areas of the environment, including once when i was walking along flat ground and suddenly went through the death animation for falling off of a cliff. Having said that, i'm still hoping for better things from the full game. Legend was a good game, as was anniversary. It just seems like there's nothing new to offer from this title.

I love the Tomb Raider series, have done since the beginning. I played Underworld last night. I thought it was really good. Same basics as the other TR games (since Eidos took there new direction.) It's a great looking game and the animation on Lara is first rate. The environments are also really fresh and beautifully designed. All in all a great addition to the Tomb Raider franchise.

Here is my mini review, I hope you find this helpful.

I was more than satisfied, but to be honest I guess I was expecting more, however that did not stop the game from being absolutely immersive. I am sure the game will be much better (at least the camera I hope).

PROS
+ The sense of bewilderment that crept upon me as I saw so many places to explore in such a short amount of time.
+ Ledges were blended in alot better
+ Lara now moves more realistically and with more weight on her. She doesn't move ridiculously fast as others claim.
+ Flexibility and customization of Player Tailoring
+ Lining up jumps are trickier and you definitely have to be more precise and take into consideration the distance between platforms and ledges.
+ Enemies that attack you while platforming add more dynamic to climbing ledges and make them more dangerous.
+ Lara loses health...fast!
+ Grapple rings are next to invisible!
+ Various combination of moves can provide different outcomes and different ways of reaching the same point.
+ The music is breathtaking. It is calm and serene at the beginning, and in certain instances it hits a dramatic high note that instantly raises your awareness and paranoia.
+ The ability to hear the tiger's roar and being unable to see your enemy adds to the suspense.
+ Medipacks require a keen eye to find! They don't stick out like in Legend.
+ Many little hidden areas to explore such as the underwater cave and the small side temple.
+ The adrenaline headshots looked so painful as the tigers reeled in pain and blood splattered. It was beautiful!
+ Good, but not great graphics.
+ The parrots were so adorable!
+BTW: You WILL die...many many times.
CONS!!!
- The damn erratic camera ruined the immersion that many jumps and platforming could've had and it moved and jerked around strangely during battles. I do not appreciate zooming into a random bit of wall while I am climbing or shooting.
- Lara jerks around occasionally especially when she draws her guns whilst holding on to a ledge.
- Beautiful water animation, but frankly I miss ripple effects from Legend.
- The graphics and texture of the foliage was unimpressive, it looked a lot better in the trailers. (not a big deal though)
- Glitches; Lara kept tripping over and over in a wall and over on the fallen ring holding the one of the ropes.

Same here - I loved LEGEND - it really felt like a return to TR's roots. Underworld looks like it is sticking with that same formula - as everytime they have tried to change the formula it only messed up the franchise. Stick with what works because that's what fans of the series want.

I just tried it last night after a 2 hour bout of exploration on Fallout 3 and another hour or so spent on Dead Space and another two hours spent watching Zombie Strippers starring Jenna Jameson. It was more of the same but the graphics of the environment were great looking. I killed the sharks jumping off the boat and scared off the parrots sittingon the ledges. I saw that my Gears of War Video "last Day" had completed downloading and I logged off to watch it.

I would play the rest of the TRU demo when I have extra time. Too bad Croft still looks cartoony.
