Anyone using the Microsoft Headset and Mic???

Just wondering what your thoughts on the headset are the positives and negatives. I am looking into buying the $20 dollar headset from gamestop the Microsoft made one. Just wondering if it works good most posts on there site have broken headset problems so it skews there opinion on it. Only looking for people who have used it or are still using it.

Never mind I found the same headset at walmart in black for $13 and change im just gonna go with that and try it out and if I don't like it i'll just take it back.

i got 2, if its the basic headset from microsoft, make sure it has plastic that goes round the mic connection on the pad and holds it in firmly because the one that is just like a heaphone jack is terrible, sorry if i havent made much sense

Thanks I'll check that out on amazon. I am going be getting 10 dollars in gift cards from swagbucks to use for amazon. (hopefully they are not scammers) Loved that my friend showed me that site awhile back. I got 50 dollars cash to play with so been looking around online probably go out after I actually go to bed.

Wait is there some issue with the 360 black wireless controller with the headsets+mics??? Like the old headset mics don't work with the 360 4gb controllers or something??? The one I seen on walmarts website is made from microsoft so there shouldn't be a problem right???

Check out the Turtle Beach XLC, I found it for cheaper than an official headset and it's headphones too...

But as for the official ones, don't waste your money, the earpiece is quiet, the mic isn't sensitive enough and it's uncomfortable to wear, I've used 5 different ones in the past, and they just get worse.

Mine came with my xbox. I used it for a little while, but it made my right ear hurt so bad after an hour or so. I traded that puppy in for a big dawg Turtle Beach 5.1 Surround. Never looked back, but i still got it "just in case"

If you want quality, get turtle beach. I got the x31 and they're pretty damn good .. try to get something you can afford .. but not from ms ;) .

Does anyone know if the Kinect is any good mic-wise? People can usually hear me clearly but I was just wondering if they were just being polite lol.
