buy all the consoles in the store and play Halo 3 on them for 4 hours straight. Then send the defective consoles back.

no. you cant. just pick boxes from the back of the shelf or the boxes that arent all tattered. (reason for picking from back of shelf--> people pick up the boxes from the front to look at them (some drop them by accident).
the more rtecently is was made the better is is probably, but you still have to take care of it. they break, but usually not on their own... like mine broke because i didn't notice that the power supply got knocked onto the carpet. you can look up the serial numbers if you want to be sure when it was made

All the recent consoles have the new chip and heat sink if u cant find the new ones buy an XBOX arcade as all include the latest doohickeys and a HDMI port
