What do you all think of Elder Scrolls and Fallout on consoles? The lack of any modability is a problem for games that are pretty... vanilla to start with (Oblivion), and there are not enough customisation options from the developers. Some simple options would be nice, e.g. 'Headshots always kill'.

I enjoy them myself. Both Oblivion and Fallout 3 are 2 of my favorite games. I can see where someone who is accustomed to playing them on PC would not prefer them on consoles but it also works the other way around. Myself, I prefer them on the consoles, like everything else it's a matter of opinion. Although I would really like to see more mods for theses games on consoles like you're referring to.

Well there not really better on the 360 are they. The fact that the pc can add mods to the game makes it better not to mention the superior graphics. As much as I loved playing oblivion on the 360 back in the day I feel I have missed out on some of the brilliant mods out there. But regardless I do enjoy the like of fallout etc on my xbox.

*they're and very much incorrect, the community support on PC games dwarfs anything that can be found on any of the consoles

They are good on the consoles. Yes, you can modify them on PC but somehow spending 10 hours of my day in the Capital Wasteland is better spent while playing in front of a 65' LCD and you are laying on your comfy couch. I am just saying...

I really liked Fallout 3 on my 360, but then again I've almost never played any game on my PC, ever, so I probably don't know what I'm missing.

save it for system wars.

i find fallout 3 pretty fun on the 360... all mods do is give you options to play around with the game longer and some slightly better graphics... in the end you both beat the same game.

It really depends. Do you want to have a better feeling with the controls? Console Do you want to expand your game to no limit? PC Do you have a semi good or a bad Video card? Console visa/verse? PC Do you have a semi good or a bad Sound card? Console visa/verse? PC Do you have a small amount (under 3 gigs) of Ram? Console visa/verse? PC Do you enjoy modding games? PC Do you want to sit 2 feet away from your screen? PC Do you want to be able to relax and play your game on the couch/bed? Console It really just depends on YOUR preferences there is no better or worse system to play it on. The only difference between Oblivion on PS3 and Xbox 360 was texture shaders and the only difference between Oblivion on the consoles and on the PC is that the PC ALWAYS ships with higher res texture packs.

I play Oblivion and Fallout 3 on the 360, and have no problem with it - I've seen a lot of the mods for ES4, and some of them are interesting, but no real reason to switch over.

While user generated content would be great, I prefer the XBox controller to a mouse and keyboard any day. My PC is where I work, my XBox is where I play.

Not everyone wets themselves over being able to mod a game... whats so wrong with playing it as the developers designed it to be played?

Yep, I play all possible Bethesda Titles on XBOX and 360

Speaking of which, Bethesda needs to dive into the handheld market.

Well most bethesda game so far have been buggy as hell so something to help the game run smoother is always a plus. Im not saying there is anything wrong with playing the game the way the devs want it to be played,im just saying once you have played it and run out of things to do whats wrong with a mod to add to the experience? Im not being a pc fanboy as I love playing my 360 as much as the next person, im just pointing out that games such as oblivion, fallout etc seem to be better on the pc as you can futher your experience with the game.

They're fun on any platform simply because they are amazing games, but with they are superior in every possible way on the PC and have an amazing collection of mods that make for some fantastic replay. The community and support for these games are so huge... Its easily the best way to experience a Bethesda game.

I never really got into fall out but I think oblivion is one of the best games on 360. Modability would be welcome but not neccesary.
