I'll be getting a 360 soon, but I'm not sure if I should get the Elite.

I'm pretty mush using it for games only, but I hope to see a big improvment in graphics over my original X-Box.

Does the Elite really make a difference regarding the graphics?  Anyone have the preimium than get an Elite?

Thanks....

If you have a tv that supports hdmi then sure. If you're playing on a standard def then go with the premium.

If you have a 1080p hdtv with a hdmi port, the picture quality may be a little brighter, sharper, and color may be deeper...but the graphics are exactly the same.

Do games even support 1080P?

Yes there are a few that are native 1080p games ,( Virtua tennis 3, NBA Street Home Court, Def Jam Icon, and some others ), but the rest are upscaled to 1080p which still looks great on my tv.

720p and above is HD.  1080p/i is what the elite supports, it's nothing really.  Just gives a clearer image than before on huge 60'' tvs.  It also has a 120gb harddrive, instead of 20gb.  Chances are you probably couldn't take advantage of it.  Premium is fine.
For starters I recommend you get Gears of War and/or Oblivion.

Remember that you're playing the exact same game on the elite as you are on the premium, so the only thing that can be improved is resolution which won't be noticeable except on certain TVs.
