Actually, it's for more than the 3 rings. I'm pretty happy with Microsoft as of today, actually. Basically, my dvd tray sometimes will get stuck on my 360, before this announcement, it would've cost me $160 (I know because I called) to fix it.. I phoned today.. Not only are they going to fix it for free, I'm getting a brand new console out of it.. Also, because it's a new console.. I've spent about $150 on microsoft points.. Since on the new console the arcade games will probably be demos unless I go online, ... They're going to reimburse all the points of spent as well. Needless to say I'm very happy about the whole situation.. Only downside is it's going to take a month for me to get a console.. Anyway, I believe the warranty is for any type of hardware failure.
Well, keeping your in store warranty basically means less hassle for you.. You also won't have to wait a month, if not longer, to get a console back.. I'm not really sure you can get money back for a warranty you've bought already. Unless maybe it's less than a week since you bought your console, then maybe I could see it happening.-Wolf-
