Not really, I have always associated Final Fantasy with the Playstation systems, and before that with the Nintendo systems.
Its strange and unecessary.

Strange and unnecessary, eh? I don't think it is so strange considering that a Microsoft console actually has a better JRPG selection than the rival Sony console (never thought I'd see the day). There goes one of the reasons for me to get a PS3.
it definitely surprised me. huge news and very nice for everyone with only one console. I might still get it for my PS3 though... it depends how they optimize the game. I don't believe that they've shown anything in realtime.
I'm getting it, but probably on PS3. I'm pissed it's coming to 360 to be honest, because I got a PS3 for mostly MGS4, God of War 3, Gran Turismo 5, and FF13/ vs. 13. There goes one reason for me to own a PS3 (possibly 2 because I doubt Vs. 13 is gonna stay on PS3 now even if they say it is). Good news for 360 only owners who love Final Fantasy though... the Microsoft press conference was overall amazing. I'm disappointed in the Sony one..
I could see this one comming. With sells of the PS3 not doing well in USA Its the best Idea to do because more units will sell in the USA this way. With this happing will outher Japanes game makers come next.
I sort of lost interest in Final Fantasy (and pretty much all other Squaresoft titles) after the SNES games. At any rate, this is good news for 360 owners who like the series.
