Nope a lot of my friends love games. Most people will play a game or two even if they never play any. That's why i love Halo easy to go to a friends and just splitscreen. I'm proud to be who i am a gamer and never hide it.

I don't have that problem as I am married and my wife has no problem with me playing them.
I'm not married, but my girlfriend and I have 2 kids together and she doesn't mind the fact at all that I play video games a lot (as long as she gets some attention also).
Never bothers my women, I still respect myself, and it's (mostly) safer than smoking. Embarrassed? No, but I wish I had the same level of motivation to get out more and do something a little more constructive. I think being a hardcore gamer for so long has left me a little lethargic.
not really... because it's what I plan on working on as a job...either that or films... playing these games can only help. Plus, around 80% of the people I know play games as well...
deffinately not. some of my friends play games, some dont. but if they stop by the house every wants a turn lol. theres no reason to hide something you enjoy. i would never hide the fact i play games, it would be like hiding the fact i love music.
Embarassed that I've played games since the mid-eighties...no, not at all. Embarassed that, as a gamer, I'm automatically associated with some of the biggest morons I've ever known...yes.
I see what you're saying, and I used to be, but now I think games or "gaming" has become much more mainstream and "socially acceptable". I know a lot of my friends won't make fun of me for playing "Madden 08" for example, but would probably call me a loser if I was playing "Star Wars" or a game like that, which I think is BS. But I mean seriously, I still have a social life/friends/ a good job/ a 2 year old daughter, I completely have a life outside my games and I think that is essential.
Haha hell no, I am not embarrased. Me and my buddies in my clan, we made t-shirts for our Gears clan and wear it all the time at school, it's quite hilarious. BTW im in high school and in grade 11.
Nah, people who really want to make a big deal of it, are already loosers themselves for making a big deal out of it. I enjoy it, and im going to keep gaming openly.... booya
Sometimes i get a little embarrased about Pokemon or other games the are classically viewed as "For Children" (Viva Pinata, Loco Roco, Tokobot, Chibi Robo, lots of Nintendo stuff) But im fine with it myself, i just leave it out of conversation with people i dont know. Most of my friends all love that stuff anyway.

Not at all. Most of my friends wouldn't be caught dead playing anything other than Madden or a FPS, but I do have one or two friends that play RPGs. I personally don't care though, I play what I want.

Where i live not alot people game and if somewone asks whats your hobby and i tell them its gaming they almost all say get a social life or something :P or the think iam a big nerd:P there arent really hardcore gamers that i know about here in the southern netherlands
NO. mostly all my friends play games. its a good way for all of us to get together now that high school is over and most of us are in different colleges. gaming is getting bigger every year and people who didn't play last year are playing now. there is no point in being embarrassed.
