How could you not be? The games are only getting better and this one looks amazing so far? The gameplay and story have always been there and now the next gen will allow the GTA series to fix its only flaw and that was its slightly crappy graphics. It was acceptable though granted for how massive the games were.

I hope its good, ive heard alot about it and it seems pretty bad ass the misions and all but im more intrested on what i can do when im done the game like in san andreas u could mess around with besically anything, i hope its like that in GTA 4 but other than that it sounds pretty kick ass

From what i heard its going to have i alot of seperate stuff other than the missions. There trying to "blur the point between missions and the rest of the game".
I don't think they could really top San Andreas except to make the whole cop/star system a little better (can I at least be able to hide from the cops instead of always having to save or go to a spray shop?!), and they could up the graphics, which in a game like this doesn't matter much to me anyway.
dont want to piss you off but i just got hold of a copy for 50 quid and its as good as the hype,even better id say you wont be dissapointed thats for sure
I wasn't initially (a couple weeks ago) - and all the hype has been annoying. The more I looked into the gameplay aspects and took major razzing from my friends - I changed my evil ways and am now extremely excited for the game. :)
The thrill is as exiting as getting a 360 or PS3 during their first day of sale. The release of GTAIV will be written down in the pages of human history :D
Completely excited. Too bad I'm leaving on vacation on Monday afternoon, just mere hours before release, so I can't bring it along. therefore I have an extra week to wait until I play it, so i'm trying to back burner that anticipation....

Why? Because he prefers to play hack and slash games? Why say it is dumb to be more excited about a different game? I am excited for NG2 as well. I can't wait for that one to come out, but I am a lot more excited for GTA4 and have the SE paid off already.
