Dont get me wrong I love my GOW, G.R.A.W, R6 vegas, etc but it seems like thats the only type of game out there. Look I'd rather play a bunch of good to great shooters than play a bunch of mediocore adventure, rpg, racing, etc titles, but not if that means almost all games are shooters.
No, not bored of shooters, just bored of what's available at the moment. I've had enough of Halo 3 and Call of Duty 4.. I'm ready for some fresh blood (think RS6: Vegas 2, GTA IV, UTIII, Age of Conan, Fable 2, and Gears of War II.) We're just caught in a drought of dry, redundant, and un-innovative games but that's soon to change.
Nope not at all.... I hope they keep releasing them and keep having variety. It's the best online experience also. There is no other online experience that's better than an online FPS.
Yeah, I liked Half-Life and Deus Ex because there was a lot of adventure to the game. More adventure and puzzle solving than fighting. I liked the original rainbow six and rogue spear because they were tactical. Mostly stealth, maneuvering and problem solving. They were thinking games. Very little shooting. Same goes for the classic Resident Evil games. Shooting was in the back seat.
I'm tired of shooting real guns so why would I want to shoot imaginary guns? Why would that be fun?
I prefer adventure games but adventure was never popular. I guess because adventure requires substance. As for a shooter. You just throw hordes of bad guys to occupy the player. The player is so busy shooting stuff that they don't realize there isn't much to the game other than the shooting.
