Are you getting COD World at War?

A lot of people seem to be put off by the fact that this game is being developed by Treyarch and not IW. I've never played COD3 so i wouldn't know if it was a bad game or not. I'm going to wait for the reviews to help me to make up my mind.

I think Treyarch will do a better job than what they did on COD 3 because they are using the COD 4 engine, but it will still suck. I will stick with Modern Warfare thank you very much :) and wait for COD 6 by IW.Fakenamelmao

I heard that COD3 had a lot of glitches (or it may have been another game, but i'm quite sure). It'll be interesting to see if Treyarch can make it look as good as COD4.

What makes you so sure that it will suck? Because it's Treyarch? COme on give them another chance. I heard that they only had a year to make the COD3. Or is it because it's WWII?

I'm going to pick it up. I enjoyed playing COD3 even tho I like COD 2 & 4 better. Course that's if I have money for it with everything else coming out.:? As long as its a good game, it being back in WW2 won't hurt it for me.akiraxander

I think COD World at War will fare well in terms of sales because Call of duty has a wide "Casual gamer" appeal to it ever since COD 2 when it was a 360 launch title, but especially COD4.

I'm just wondering whether i should get Gears 2 instead.. Does anyone know the exact release date of COD WAW?

I think it's the fact that it's going back to WWII that makes it even worse in some peoples' eyes..

I like the fact that they are going to use the perks too though.

Oh cool i didn't no it had co-op. that's even better. I've only ever played COD1 and COD4 (which i don't own). did COD4 have co-op? I never heard much about it..

Cod4 didnt have coop, but it would had been a perfect game for coop though.

i think it'll be good because everyone is doubting treyarch.. they have a lot of motivation to make a great game to shut the critics up.

i never write a game of because a certain dev is making it.. a fun game is a fun game, i don't care who makes it (i actually think the online might be more enjoyable for me.. IMO IW makes great games, but not very good MP maps)

1st off - I will be getting COD:W@W, but will have to hold out until Christmas to get it

2nd - there is very little reason to be upset that Treyarch is developing W@W as they are using the same engine as Infinity Ward used in Modern Warfare - the only thing that does bother me is that it is going back to WWII - but from everything I've been reading and videos I've seen, it looks like it will surpass the previous WWII editions of COD !!!

but they to do something new...there are tons of WWII clones out there...the fact that we'll have to use those out-dated guns just pissed me off...but never the less, i'll wait for the reviews and then decide

I mean, Call of Duty 3 wasn't quite as good as Infinty Ward's Call of Duty games, but I had a blast with the multiplayer portion of the game. Plus, the addition of co-op does sound promising.

Like most people here, I will simply wait for the reviews, which usually are posted before the game even comes out, so its not a big deal.

I will wait for the reviews though I am not going to lie I really don't have a lot of faith in Treyarch only glimmer of hope COD5 has is that its using the COD4 engine in which case I ask why not just let Infinity Ward make them?redmagic123

IW aren't developing it because they're probably developing the next COD after COD WaW.

Hmm yeah. since i don't have time for more than a couple of games this year, i'm choosing between gears 2 and this game. I haven't bought a FPS in a while so i feel inclined towards getting COD at the moment...

At least the reviews from the other gaming sites such as IGN and gametrailers comes out before the actual game. Sometimes, the reviews for the games at gamespot come out after the release which is inconvenient. But no big deal- IGN reviews are good and indepth.

I agree with you 100% you guys are pushing panic buttons way too early and think that this game will suck just because it's a WWII shooter and made by Treyarch I find this foolish and arrogant.

2nd answer cod3 sucked, also im getting sick of the ww2 games, bring on more modern stuff already.battleroyalex

In a couple of years time, we'll be wanting something else instead of modern warfare, which is natural of course. But i suppose the gaming market has to cater for all tastes.
