Limted Edition is a rip off, and legendary is a joke, imo. (Neither of them has a soundtrack, right? Without a soundtrack, I have essentially zero interest in special editions. Preordered Bioshock CE for the PC, which is the same price as the 360 version, pwned.) Standard all the way. There are only two games I'd pay 100+ dollars for this year, even without bells and whistles, and those two games are Mass Effect and Super Smash Bros Brawl.
I had payed of the LEGENDARY edition and the Limited Collectors Edition. Why I have no idea. I am going to take them off and pay off the regular edition, and split the rest between COD4, Assassins Creed, The Orange Box, and Mass Effect. I might just pay all of them off, who knows. I'm not one to care about what other people say but all of you have me really regreting paying off the lgendary, and collector edition.

I got the "limited edition" just so i could have one of the extra dvd's and so I could feel like a "hard core". That way when halo doesn't bomb I can join the "I told you so" forums and rub that I beleived in halo, in all the doubters faces.And I'll just borrow the other dvdoff afriend.
I have the legendary edition reserved, but I am starting to have second thoughts. I think I might cancel it and just reserve the regular. 130 bucks for just a game is a bit pricey.
Theres no soundtrack so I just went standard.. Anything extra on those DVD's I can stream off the net and if im desperate I know I could find one of the helmets on ebay lol.. Standard all the way for this one, allthough the Collecters Bioschock I pre-ordered! :P
I'll get it when the price drops after a few months and it's sitting on the store shelves. that' what pretty much happens to "collector's edition" sets. They start out high and after sitting on the shelves for a few months, the price drops. :)
Im getting the legendary edtion since I have the nough money to buy almost all the games i want before 08. Plus I should be getting $300 for my birthday. edit: i might get collecotrs edition at the same time i f they have it in gamestop.
At first I preordered with $25 when the full price was $100. But then they jacked up the price to $130 and I didn't feel the chocthke helmet and case thing were worth an extra $60 so I cancelled that preorder and ordered the $69 collectors edition. That one seems to be the best bang for the buck. I'm tired of special editions being a bunch of toy figures or useless chochkes to take up space in my apartment. Just give me making of dvds and stuff like that.
Limited is worth the extra 10 bucks, i love metal cases, but 70$ for a helmet and a animation disc? The way i see it, im given the choice between a helmet and a video disk of stuff ive already seen, or 70$... Besides what am i gonna do with that helmet? put it on display in my appartment and be mocked for months to come for being a nerd? Ill pass.
Lol no, Whats the point of paying 20 more bucks just to get a stupid helmet and some dvds? First of all once the game comes out you can watch the dvds on youtube.. And theres no point of a helmet just to sit on your desk looking at you. Lol all I got was the normal edition.
No. Nor will I be getting the McFarland Controllers, the facplates, the themes and pics, the man dolls, or the 711 limited edition collectablr Slurpee Cups.
Just the regular edition game will be plenty enough, I'm not a Halo geek.

Yes. World of Warcraft Collector's Edition boxes are worth a whole bunch now. Why not Halo?
