Are you planning to buy the X1X???

No, I'm not planning to purchase a X, reasons:

- I recently upgraded my X1 fat for a X1 slim.

- I have no plans to upgrade my less than one year old 50" screen right now

- For what I know there are not going to be any "X1X only" games

So no X1X for me, I would rather save me that money and get me a Switch with a couple of games when the Switch has a bigger library.

Nah, need games and therefore will consider a Pro.

My son asked if he could have the PS fat for his bedroom so I gave it to him and got me a Slim, that I would consider as an upgrade too therefore I'm NOT getting a Pro either for the same reasons I'm not getting a X.

Well my tv was 8yrs old so I went and bought a Panasonic viera 4k tv, and pre-ordered and payed for the X, so i'm good for another 8yrs tv wise :)

yes i will be buying one i don't own an xbone or a one S either. i do have a question myself will it be Region locked for dvd's? no place i've looked says if it is or not

@wildhoney66: From what I can tell none of the consoles are region locked anymore when it comes to dvd/blu ray discs.

I am not entirely sure with the X1X, but I fully expect it to be the same.

I have a few Concert blurays from Europe, and I live in the U.S... That is two separate regions. They played fine on my original Xbox One, as well as my PS4 Pro.

the PS4 i'm talking about the Original model cause that's the one i have for that one, that's one you can use 4 times before it locks up. i am not sure if it will stay on Region 2 after those 4 times or what either way that's messed up and stupid how that is. and thank you i hope you are right

Now that I think about it my concert blurays may be region free Bluray discs, but they just happen to come from Europe.

well if i'm right at least for the ps4 the games i think and yes i could be wrong on this are region free, the DLC i was looking online i doubt is but i live in the US anyways so i'm not worried about that. but i'm curious if the One X will be able play other regions dvd's hence movies. it's okay if you don't know you tried that's all that matters my friend. i asked someone on you tube he claims no but i dunno who to believe to be honest. and it would be an Immense help that among the features on what the one X has in it well if it listed that as well. even if it says that no i can't it will still say it at least

I have considered it, but ultimately I chose against it. I looked on Amazon today and was about to pull the trigger when I saw the Scorpio edition still available, but I can't pull the trigger right now. I own an X1 so I have a machine to play the X1 exclusives from before Play Anywhere, and a PC for Play Anywhere games. It does look like a nice upgrade, so I keep going back and forth on it. Plus the enhanced Xbox and 360 games just adds to reasons for owning it. Maybe I will pick one up soon, I just can't pull the trigger right now.

Probably no, because my original xbox one does the job fine still wondering something: if the One X is suppose to be the super deluxe Xbox One why didn't they wait until the X was finished before launching the Xbox One?

Right now I have ps4 pro and pc (1050ti 8gb ddr4 ram g4560) so I can game a lot without a problem for a long time. I can maybe choose not to buy one x after all since Im really with my hands full with my current gamer setup (pro and pc)

I was playing in the rain in Forza 7 earlier, and had an OMG moment because I could see mist everywhere with the sun rays shining through, I lost the race because of that I bewildered by the beauty. And this is a Motorsport game, they dont usually looks this breathtaking lol.....im seeing special effects I couldn't see before on the base XOne

@SecretPolice: Ghost Recon Wildlands is showing on the list as Available Now and I do recall seeing it listed under the X1X E only section of My Games & Apps when I was playing around last night.

I haven't gotten my 4K TV yet so I don't know how much of an improvement this is, waiting on that before I make any judgement on it.

i don't think he's trying to make it harder for ya man. lol but i do get you are impatient for it to come and i can't say that i blame you at all. i never bought an x bone cause i had no interest in it so i was one of the people who didn't have anything to transfer going from the other console to the new one. but Monday nite i slept like shit cause i was so excited for the console. and with all the updates and installing you have to do and shit it still feels like it takes forever for you to be even play your console.

EDIT: By the way, if anyone has any advise as to what to expect when I need to transfer everything over from X1 to X1X, I'd sure appreciate it.

@SecretPolice: No external HDD?

All of my games are on my ext so it was easy to just swap the cables over. All I had to do was go through the initial setup again(region, timezone, sign-in to live) and I was ready. There's also a 736MB day 1 patch. You'll also have to input any customization settings you had previously(i.e. I had to change audio from using the hdmi cable to use the optical cable and output Dolby 5.1 instead of Stereo) and login to any apps you use again(Skype, SlingTV, Netflix, etc).

Some of these may be 'no shit' things but all were things that I wasn't really thinking about before I hooked mine up.

Since I had an external I did not try out the network transfer but I've heard it works well and is fast.

Thanks a bunch. I too have a 5TB ext HDD but didn't have it from the start so there is some stuff on the internal I'll need to transfer over. I much appreciate the info. :)

@SecretPolice: Definitely transfer it before you get the X, install times on the X aren't any faster plus you'd have to re-download the 4k assets.

Also if you have your Xbox setup to install directly to ext you'll have to change that setting on the X as well or everything goes back to internal hdd. I would say that it doesn't really matter much on the X. The base X1 performed better off the ext, but the X seems to work equally well off the internal.
