I use a 19 inch widescreen hp, the w19b to be precise. It was around 240 euros, the acer 19 inch widescreen has very good features too, if you are willing to spend more you should definitly get 22 inch widescreen, just beware of higher than 5 ms responsetimes

Do yourself a favor and be very careful selecting a computer monitor for Xbox 360 gaming. I was looking at that market myself, and I simply wound up deciding to buy a 27" Insignia HDTV (less than $500) because of the problems all of the widescreen monitors on the market have right now.

EVERY, and I mean EVERY, 19", 22", and 24" widescreen LCD on the market right now has severe backlight bleed. Don't claim you've found one that doesn't, because they're all being made with the same cheap panels right now. If you're willing to spend a lot of money on an Apple Cinema Display or a nice Dell gaming monitor you're probably not going to have to worry about this, but if you're getting a monitor I'm guessing you're looking to save cash. There's a reason that these monitors cost relatively little money compared to their more expensive breathern.

Personally, I've found that if you can find an HDTV known for having low-input lag and good gaming panels (Westinghouse) or you're willing to test a few panels (in my case I found an Insignia set with great real world response times, low input lag, et cetera) you'll be much happier.

If you do go widescreen monitor, I'll just say, be careful, make sure you get at least 1680x1050 resolution, and you should be alright. You might have to live with a little backlight bleed, but you'll save some money.

I have a Westinghouse 42" HD monitor. It's great for playing 360 and watching movies on. I got it last week at Best Buy on sale for $999.
