Well im stuck on chapter 8 sequence 2 were to open a door i have to bend flame but i dont know what it means

I am stuck on 7.2 I have 1 hit away from being dead and I have to kill around 6 Humanz from the GO. I give up. can I go back and get health from a previous chapter or am I doomed?
