I am going with Earth Defense. I think the "B Movie" premise is going to be a lot of fun. I've never played an Armored Core game, but it does not look all that great to me. I'm not really into customizing mechs. Running around shooting giant bugs and aliens is going to be a riot.
Personally, I think the Armored Core series is the most horrid mech series out there. The missions are boring as hell, the controls are horrid & the gameplay just lacks anything that would keep you coming back for more. Get Chromehounds if you must have a mech game.Â
I find it hard to believe that AC4 will be any better than the other lame entries in the series. I don't know much about EDF, but I know Armored Core sucks.
