Knowing EA, they'll probably charge you for the demo.

I really wish some of these bigger titles would be released as a demo before it comes out. I'd really like to be able to tell if I'm going to like the game.

Well, they postponed the game like 5 minutes before it was supposed to come out last fall. Doing up a demo takes time and development. My guess is they wanted to concentrate on fixing what was wrong. Then again, the original version didn't have a demo either.

I got nothing.

I think most publishers and devs are doing away with demos for big title, hyped games. To me, demos kill hype. It can either go two ways. You play a demo of a hyped game, you dont like it, you end up not buying it. Or, because there wasnt a demo, you dont buy it because you dont know how it plays. Therefore, by not releasing a demo, most people will end up buying the game because there is so much hype to it. Halo 3 is a great example. Halo 3 wasnt that great, to be honest. A lot of hype, so people bought it. I'm one of them. It's still overrated till this day. And then, there are people who just buy it anyways, despite reviews or friggin demos.
