Splinter cell is more bad ass.

I like Assassins creed story better though.

I've never played a splinter cell game, but I don't doubt that blacklist is better than ac3. I just couldn't get into ac3 for the story, and revelations for the gameplay. The series has just gotten repetitive. However, I'm not sure any splinter cell game can top assassins creed 2, especially story wise. How are the splinter cell stories?

The latest one had a good story involving terrorism with enteresting twists and believable characters. I don't pick or play games for the stories involved... but I can assure you it was a lot better and more memorable than the AC3 story.

Blacklist >All Assassin creed games EXCEPT AC2.

Furthermore, I have played Blacklist and I liked it, but not better than my favorite Assassin's Creed game, ACII.  You mentioned ACIII, which I did not.  Quite frankly I didn't like ACIII much at all.  Not even enough to finish it.

As a whole I haven't enjoyed any Splinter Cell game more than ACII.  I enjoy the AC series more than the SC series.  I'm not right.  You're not right.  It's a matter of opinion.

The first few games were when Splinter Cell was at it's best, but the last two games have left much to be desired. It's a good game, but it's not great. So with that in mind I would comfortably recommend that you try both to see what suits you best.
