Is AC2 repetive like AC was?

Nope, they added a lot of new missions types along with side missions.
It's an action game. It has small rpg elements like upgrading equipment and abilities, but it's totally not an rpg.hillelslovak
When did you ever upgrade an ability? You got new ones, got the duel hidden blades, but I don't remember ever upgrading an ability.
I hate how it went from the secrets of the Templars and stopping them from secretly attempting to take over the world - to talk about 2012 and how the earth will end unless these artifacts are found.
Really ruined it for me in some ways.

You got upgrades when you take the Glyphs to Leonardo.Do you mean the codex pages? The glyphs were the symbols on historical landmarks that unlocked pieces of The Truth.
