Im getting a 360 for christmas, and liked the look of Assassin's Creed, Just wondering what you guys think of the game. Is it worth getting? and how long will it take to complete?, i dont want to get a game that will be over in a matter of hours!

Opinions are greatly appreciated

Thanks.

It's not worth getting. It's worth a rent. The game can be beat in about 14 hours I would say if you just play it to beat it. Do all the side missions, collect the flags, and you are around 40 hours. It's repetitive though and has no replay value. The story is good, imo. The ending is said to be disappointing. I thought it was fine.

With that bing said, buy it anyway. OXM claims that due to Assassin's Creed and the success it had, EA was unable to acquire Ubisoft. Ubisoft must not be acquired by EA and if purchasing Assassin's Creed prolongs that ever happening then it's worth the cost.

I think it is a really good game and haven't beat it yet. The graphics and realism is awesome for that era.

I'd recommend picking it up, however, it definitely should not be one of your first games.

I thought worth getting, try getting it used though. It's a good game, put pretty short and kind of repetitive. I really enjoyed it thoug, the production values are insane.

Amen man, I was unaware that EA was trying to purchase Ubi, looks like I will be getting AC for christmas. I have nothing against EA, some of their games are hit, and some are miss, but Ubi makes the Tom Clancy games which are absolutely amazing and I would hate for EA to ruin the formula. -ACE

I'd say rent A.C. It gets pretty repetitive after awhile. The informer missions drive me nuts. If you have or plan on getting Gamefly I would definitely get it there. Amazing visuals though. If you want a game that will wow you for awhile, A.C. is it.

its definetly worth getting.... from what you can obviously see, this is a love it or "meh"/hate it kind of game I personally love it with a passion... and if you like that time period and other things/are interested in it... you should definetly play it... because even after you beat it, you can just head to chapter 6 and have access to all the areas of the game, as well as be able to kill civilians without any negative result/which results in crazy big/funny swordfights in crowded streets... also a lot of the swordfights you have can lead to be pretty epic/incredible... on top of that its so incredibly accurate historically and such its crazy definetly worth getting for christmas, once again BUY it...

I agree with that. I haven't played it yet, but have been watching the game for a long time and it doesn't look like it would be good for a first game, but looks awesome for a third or fourth game (after you've got some longer games like Mass Effect).
