cant decide which one to buy, which ones more enjoyable long-term and short-term, and take into account that i have xbox live and i can get bored of a first person shooter if its too repetetive. (heard assassins creed was repetitive also)

just so its not biased only recommend one if youved played both, thanks.

both are great.. but they are from different genres... it depends on what you like. If you like adventure stuff then go w/ assassin's creed. COD4 is the best FPS on 360 IMO, but its all opinion. Both are worth 60 bux..... COD4 has more long term value though.

CoD4, don't even think twice about it.

We should smack you for trying to put the two in the same sentence.

AC is a good rent but in the long run COD4's multiplayer will last a helluva lot longer.

I would say AC. I have both, and i have enjoyed AC MUCH more than cod4 so far. Although i can see AC getting repetive, all in all, i have found it just a lot more fun than cod. Cod4 is a standard shooter, very well done but many have come before and many more will come after (endwar, frontlines, R6V2), i would say go with AC, its kinda a unique game and great experience.

Can AC (Assassins Creed) go online? Or is it just single-player?

TBH, both.

If you really really really love your shooters then go with CoD4 (if you can't afford both).

BUT...

If you prefer a good action game over a FPS... then Assassins...

I still say both... and while you're at it get Mass Effect and Rock Band too :).

I can't vouch for CoD4 'coz I dont have it. What I can say about Assassin's Creed as far as the graphics is concerned, it's really top notch. The gameplay though is the downpart of it. When they say that Assassin's Creed is repetitive, it really is. Picture this example, in your first mission you get to enter a place lets say Jerusalem, in that area you save citizens, pickpocket, interrogate, assassinate etc...the next mission and for the rest of the missions, you're going to do exactly the same though presented in a different area, same things you must do. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed it while it lasted honestly if you're only after finishing the game then its just rent worthy, but if you want to explore and be amazed on the beauty of the environment then its a must buy.

Call of Duty 4 easily, Assassins Creed gets extremely repetitive and feels like an unfinished game.

CoD 4 will have much more replay value, especially considering the fact that the multiplayer is a ton fun. But Assassin's Creed is pretty amazing in itself, though it gets repetitive pretty fast.

Assassin's Creed will last you longer (single player), but it becomes a bit repetitive. Call of Duty 4 is pretty much a waste of time if you're looking for single player only. The Call of Duty series (except for the first one and it's expansion pack which was on PC only) has been known for mainly it's multiplayer aspect.

i got both at the same time, but COD4's multiplayer can keep you going forever. AC is a good single player game though.

I haven't played creed but I would have to say Call of Duty. And just so you know Best Buy is selling each game for $38. So why not just scrounge up $16 and get both?

Both were on sale yesterday at Best Buy for $38, so I bought both. :D I know that doesn't help you, but it doesn't seem an easy choice.

It depends on what type of gamer you are. If you like sword action then assasins creed is a must buy. If you like shooting games than COD 4 is a must buy. Assasins creed is much cheaper

Assassin's Creed is garbage. CoD4 online will never get old.
