Ciao!:)

I read that it has a interesting Sci-Fi Subplot to the main storyline? And Ubisoft confirmed in the first 10minutes of play it will be revealed. Also i have read in some forums posts that Altair or what ever the main characters name is has a tail (Yes a tail like a donkey has one:P) iS that the twist? Please any information will be appreciated!;)

A tail? I don't think so..his attire is supposed to resemble that of an eagle, but beyond that he's a normal human. Now as far as the Sci-fi subplot goes..no clue, I think people are curious as to the very futurustic looking life meter on the top left of the HUD, so perhaps that's fueling the speculation (rumor?) of some Sci-fi elements..

Hello, I'm really sorry I can't find proof, but I remember a wile back in EGM or OPM, that way back when the game was known as project assassins, the story was about a MENTAL PATIENT(modern times of future)who thought he was an assassin during the crusades. weather this is still the case orif they scratched that storyI do not know. I tried to find the magazine were I read this for reference sake, but I must have thrown it away, sorry again. Or if any of youknow what mag it was....

this could work, but onlyto the extent that they use it as a way to explain the assassins creed being in different time periods all throughout history. for example, the next game is duing middle ages/renaissance and then maybe age of imperialism. either that or they could just say the creed has survived for this long

I can't believe that they would ruin such a good game with a plot like that.

Yes they've ruined a game you've never played, and so therefore have no idea if its good with a plot that you also have no idea of its quality. That makes completle sense.

I think that what I'm going to say is "fan fiction" but I read it so long ago that I can't really say for sure where or when I saw it. I could be blowing smoke so continue to read if you want...

All the sci-fi stuff is set in the future, and people have discovered that you can look into the past through your genes, so when you die or bring up the menu you get this sci-fi thingy, they said death in gameplay was more like your memory was fuzzy. So you are some guy in the future and you're looking at your great-great-...-great-grandfather Altair's memories. This kinda does leave the game open for future games along the same premise, or with the unknown character in the future. Also the dev. team has said that the conspiracy that you unfold has ties to the modern world.

Like I said I have no proof of any of this as, I don't rememer where I saw it so take it for what it's worth.

That's the first smart splot I've heard. That could work perfectly fine, and I would enjoy that alot actually. If anything "extraordinaraly" retarded is put into the game, it will probably be a turn off, like gene mutation in the 1300 or whenever **** crap takes place where people know nothing about that crap.

High quality speculation. I was gonna post my speculation, but this blows mine out of the water. Bravo!

You know it. It is going to be good though. So far it looks OK... Sure there were a few hovering guards and the combat system messed up but that won't be in the final game won't it...mumble.

I bet it'll be something ot entirely out in the open. My best example of something liek this is in Stephen King's "The Green Mile", John Coffey has a healing power. It is a very important plot point in the novel, however, it does not stick out or turn the book into a crappy sci-fi novel.

No, it's an art direction choice. I'm too lazy to post a link, but on Xboxsyde there's an interview with Jade Raymond, and one of the questions asked is that of the supposed sci-fi elements included in the game. She confirms that it's simply an art direction choice and nothing more, just to show how the world has changed so much, sort of a compare and contrast art decision.

Yes I expect it to be good, I loved the Prince of Persia series, so anything made by the same team of course should be good. My point was you can't say the story is going to be bad just because its different than what you would like. No one here knows for sure how this story is going to play into the game, so its way too early to be judging the story.
