I'm afraid because I have an awful memory I can't rate the games in order of those catergories. I can say AC was always considered the weaker of the series, I'm actually yet to drag myself through it so can't properly judge it. Peoples opinions on it obviously differ though (it's my boyfriend's favourite).

AC2 and BH were amazing. BH probably is better in terms of entertainment because you have the added option of MP. However, and I'm not sure if it's fixed, waiting to get into a game was frustrating as it could take quite a while. I also preferred Ezio in BH as he came across as more mature and that bettered the story for me. There are also little touches that make the game great, like being able to recruit and summon your own assassins (that can come in handy!).

I'm not sure why you're asking for opinions on them if you intend to buy all three. Are you deciding which order to play them in? Or just looking to talk about the franchise? =]

I just bought AC Brotherhood last week. So far I like AC2 the best out of all of them. I'm kinda bored of playing Brotherhood right now and it's frusterating at some of the missions to be able to get 100 percent. Already in the beginning of the game... to be able to get through the caverns in under 8 minutes is B.S. That's very frusterating. I want to be able to enjoy the story without worrying about getting 100 percent in each one. I can't even imagine how much ridiculous it's going to get later on.

I skipped out on Brotherhood since it came out during a busy time. Nevertheless, I was thinking of playing it this summer. Idk it just didn't look THAT appealing to me that I had to play it like the others. The truth is that I just want to play it so that if I decide to get the new one coming out this year then I won't be behind...

I liked the Arabic setting of AC the most, but AC2 is the best in terms of story and combat. Best overal entertainment is probably Brotherhood because of the multiplayer, but I myself am not much of a multiplayer so giving that one to AC2 as well.

Agreed.

I recommend not playing these games one after another, because I'd imagine you'd get bored really fast. Assassin's Creed is a great series, but they do get a little repetitve. And it doesn't help that they come out with a new one every year.

I haven't played the first AC so I can't really judge it (my backlog of games is big enough as it is and I just bought two new games recently), but I am liking AC II and AC Brotherhood.

Ac2 came out 2 years after AC1. They're just living off the fame of Ezio.

OT: I liked AC1 the best out of all of them. IMO sequence 12 should've been the begining of AC2 and AC:BH should've been apart of AC2. I didn't care for Ezio's younger days.

AC2 was the best for me. Still, one thing I still miss from the first game is how you actually carry out assassinations. Gather information about where the target will be, pre-planning escape routes, hiding spots, eliminating strategically placed guards. You were given so many more choices. Now, we're just kind of guided through the assassinations, which don't really have as much variety as the first game did.

i agree with this. in the first one, the assassinations felt more important. i really liked the story in the first one for the setting, but ac2 had more detail.

i would recommend to play them in order, just so the story flows naturally. they are all worth playing.

Though I agree with the previous comment, in terms of the recommendations, I find that if you tend to beat games quickly then AC1 and AC2 are not games that can be played over a long period of time. Usually, I find myself beating the game twice getting all the achievements and running around killing anyone for fun. So, I would say get them all, play them all, take your time in beating them, then...form your own opinion...

If you plan on getting BH then I recommend you get 2 just so you can follow the story of Desmond/Ezio. I didn't play AC1 at the start and took a while to get the hang of the intertwined story, but I could manage without knowing anything about Altair. I reckon it would be harder without the knowledge of Ezio's first story however.
