I was wondering about assassins creed II. Every person i've talked to has loved it and I want to hear some opinions. The main thing holding me back is I'm afraid it's going to be one of those games where you get stuck and don't know what to do next. Running around for hours trying to do sidequests and not really knowing what you're REALLY supposed to do to advance the story is enough to make me never play the game again. For me the perfect balance of open world and straight forwardness is Fallout 3. How close is Assassins Creed in that regard?

You clearly can't get lost.

The Main mission is always marked with a big !.

Even easier than fallout 3 if you ask me (not that fallout 3 was hard to follow).

trust me you wont get lost it has a waypoint system, its better than the first and a great action game. my only downpoint is the controls feel clunky making you randomly running up walls you dont want to or jumping of tall buildings and dying but for me the rest of the game overpowered that main fault.

Yey for sure.

You wont get lost, it's got a system similar to the GTA games where your next mission is marked on a mini-map and a pause menu big map.

You can't get lost, your main objective is always shown on your mini map. Also yes you should buy AC2 it's one of the best games on 09.

Loving every minute of AC2. I did find myself a little lost in a couple of the assassins tombs but they are not that hard to figure out. Other than that it is really easy to figure out where to go and what to do in the game.

More ways to complete a mission, better combos, and graphics are 5 steps above the first. Yay all the way

Yeah, you don't get lost, that's not a problem. All locations are clearly marked on the map, and the best route is to just free-run on the rooftops to get there, which always feels intuitive and really easy.

Game is awesome. It's almost impossible to get lost in this game. You'll always be told where to go and there will be markers on your map. ACII is just leaps and bounds better than the original. Fantastic game and my 2009 GOTY.

Big YAY! Awesome game and your missions are always clearly highlighted. Much better (IMO) than the first game.

If you played the first, this one is clearly a HUGE step forward in the series. Definitely pick it up. :)

I'd say yes, it was definitely one of the best games of '09. No doubt about it.

I can't really see a point in the game where anyone would get stuck so I don't think you have anything to worry about.
