Auto-aim on/off ?

I like first-person shooters, such as Darkness, Rainbow6vegas, BioShock and others.

Unfortuantely, until now I haven't got good skills in aiming with a joypad.Moreover I don't like auto-aim as it makes any game too arcade and simple imo.

And I just wonder how many of you use auto-aim; andhow you master your aiming skills if you prefer auto-aim off.

did rainbowsix have autoaim??

Haven't played multiplayer (Vegas) in a long time, but single player has aim assist. Pretty annoying when you have a pesky terrorist in your crosshairs, aim for the head and the assist pulls the shot down to his chest.... which is behind cover.

First thing I do is turn it off.
