I've been loving playing Psychonauts in 720p after the December b/c update, and am looking forward to playing Far Cry Instincts again on the 360. But there's still a bunch of games that I would love to see in the next update:

You know, as much as I've been complaining about the B/C options, I find that I still don't use the functionality a whole lot other than my gf ocassionally playing Fable and I ocassionally playing Sid Meier's Pirates. I haven't even grabbed a copy of Conker yet, y'know? Though I did play some San Andreas last night -- forgot how good that game was.
That being said, if there's one game that could get me back into playing Xbox games, it's Morrowind. Specifically the GOTY Edition that has the two expansion packs on it. I'd also be inclined to pick up Pirates Of The Carribean if they added that... the one that's basically Sea Dogs II, not one of those crappy cash-ins for the Johnny Depp movies.
oh and i would like to also say Rallisport Challenge 2...i can't imagine why it's not already? but seriously, with soo many 360 games w/achievements it's not a big deal...but it would be cool! 8)
yes finally someone else who wants full spectrum warrior!! i want to play that game so bad! does anyone know if ten hammers is backward compad? or are they both not?
i just looked over the guys list and i forgot all about brothers in arms..those games would be awsome to play i really need to pick those up one day. i used to own road to hill 30 i even reserved it before it came out and now i feel like an idiot because i traded it in =/

oh HELL YEAH. I made the mistake of playing Brothers in Arms before Call of Duty 2 because I was pretty disappointed in CoD2 because it couldn't hold up to the realism and intensity of BiA. Not that CoD2 isn't a good game because it is great, but BiA is head&shoulders better.

Both are not b/c, which is a bummer. FSW was the closest thing to a realtime strategy game I would play on a console.
The Metal Gear Solid Franchise has got to be one of the best in videogame history, even though i dont have PS2 or PS3, and i would really like it if they would make MGS2Substance backwards compatible, since i will prolly never get to play any of the newer games in the franchise

microsoft have already a few months ago after the last update said they arnt dedicating any real numbers of staff no more for the back wards compatability. they said the games that are left either require too much work or are games that they cant make a emulator for that would also work with other games. and because that part of the business cannot possibly make any money and they have been at it for around 2 years they are just about putting a stop to adding any more games. if any are added it will only really be because they updated a existing emulator and the game now works because of it or if they made a emulator for a original title for marketplace and it also covered unsupported games then they would add the games to the list. but the games that are left they arnt making any real effort to support them so they time has been near enough passed. its coz they dont want to have to put to work a few or many programmers trying to make a emulator run a game when the work aint going to make any money and will only resulut in probally a single game working then its not really cost effective. i think how they chose the current list are games that use similar or same engines etc and crack the games that would allow several other games to be compatitble as well to boost the list rather than worrying about games that the graphics wont work without being totally glitched or games that they can only get 1 compatible game to work with the emulator rather than a few

One would expect that there'd be something of a mention up on their site if that'd be the case, also that would be a pretty big letdown for the people still looking forward to playing games they have for their old XBox that aren't supported :(
Thanks for the reply and all, but I really hope you're wrong, which might be naivety on my end I guess. I'm not planning on throwing away 21 good games, and I really hope Microsoft doesn't expect me to either.
MS said at the beginning of 2007 that they would quit working on BC by the end of the year. I wouldn't expect anymore BC updates.b11051973
They could've bothered mentionining it on their site if they really quit though:( I know that it's probably not going to get another update, but still...:cry: At least give me the Otogis.
Or what if they'd make the BC gig open source? they might not want to put any extra programmer hours into it but if they'd let fans of the games do it then the remainder of the games would be done in no time :D ...that could actually work \O_O/
(too bad that it probably won't because of Microsoft's fear of whatever, but still, the idea rocks).

Many of the games on your list have had annual update version released, so who would want to go back an play a 2005 version of a sports game when there are 06, 07 and 08 versions available.
I can't see MS putting much more effort into B/C. The list is already substantial, and now Sony have dropped B/C from the PS3, they don't need to continue to show off and compete. MS don't make any money by increasing the number of games on B/C, but they can make money from selling old games as downloads - so I'd expect this is what they will focus on more.
Dude alot of if not all of those games you listed are already on the BC list. Riddick isn't but thats because it is being remade on the 360 so they are not taking the time to make a patch for the Xbox game.
