Oh where to begin..

The first one was working fine gaming wise until it somehow developed a hardware problem, the replacement has even more problems.

Firstly I lost my Forza saves, they never successfully synced. Second, Forza 5 crashes after about an hour of play and thirdly, Dead Rising 3 doesn't load my save games, it just gets stuck and eventually locks the console up.

I've got to send the old one back otherwise I'll get charged, which isn't going to be a problem, but I can't believe that I'm currently in possession of two Xbox One's, both of which are either broken or not working!

What the hell have MS done. This problem is worse than the RROD! At least my first Xbox 360 lasted 10 months, I've had two Xbox One console's in two months!!

10 months? I have had my 360 for almost four years and I have never even cleaned it.

Two Xbox Ones in two months?

Both of those things just....make me feel so lucky.

I've had to replace my 360 8 times due to RROD, with a record of my 360 elite RROD within 2 hours of having it. So far my xbox one works flawlessly, I'm sure Microsoft learned their lesson with the 360. That's why the X1 is huge cool and quiet, I doubt it will ever have overheating issues if it placed in a normal environment.

I feel your pain on the quality control of the XB1 assembly line. My console appeared to be working perfectly, loved how quiet it was with the minor inconvenience that it would not read discs, which made playing games pretty hard on a gaming console. It would every now and then but usually took 5-6 attempts and 10-15 minutes before deciding it would work. I just replaced it 3 days ago and then the new one would not install one of my games, now it is having issues recognising discs again and instead of that quiet hum i hear a clicking type of sound as if there is a broken bit in the machine.

I was really on the fence over the system, but with PS4 being out everywhere I thought i would go XB1 and ultimately was enjoying it but there quality assurance has been pretty poor. Don't want to deter anyone as it is a good system, however would not mind it working properly.

Doesn't MS have a one year warranty? What's the problem.

The only problem I've ever had with Xbox One is the kinect and the controller. The kinect stopped working after an hour and a half, had to be replaced. The the controller started messing up, turning itself off at random times.

However I have a years warranty on mine, but I can help but feel that more problems will occur. Probably should've opted in for the 3 years warranty but hopefully everything will run smooth.

I'm with you as far as the clicking noise. Mine makes that sound the whole time. It's in sink with the major loading times in which it speeds up so I know it's the HDD. Over all it's super quiet and runs super cool in comparison with the PS4. But it's also super huge which I don't like. Oh and when I looked at it after taking it out of the box I noticed a scratch on it which doesn't affect performance but quality control is lacking.
