Batman: AA a potential game of the year contender?

Do you think so? For me, it will be a contender.

It'll definitely be a contender for GOTY but I'm sure it will be forgotten about by critics because of Uncharted 2 and Modern Warfare 2.z

Luckily I am buying all three. Actually, I'm getting Batman today :D

Looking at the year 2009, I say yes. It has to go against Modern Warfare 2 though.

maybe but it has alot to compete with i mean odst modern warfare 2 assasins creed 2 brutal legend. I think it still has a chance though

It's getting nines across the board. I'd say that puts it in the running. It's probably the highest rated game of the year so far.

Definetly a contender. Have to see MW2 before I saw anything about a winner. =-)

maybe best of genre, even then i think assassins creed 2 will beat it out.

its definitely in the top ten, maybe top 5 of the year but i doubt it will matter once some of the holiday releases come out.

It will definitely be a contender, but I don't think it will win. MW2 will probably win across the board, although it is too early to tell. Licensed games, even the rare good ones, are hardly ever given GOTY. I don't thin Riddick: Butcher Bay won any major GOTY awards.

Of course, it is also important to remember that this year has a weaker lineup than the past two years. Most of the great games are coming out in 2010, such as Alan Wake, Halo: Reach, Mass Effect 2, and Fallout: New Vegas. This year only has a few guaranteed hits, like MW2, Forza 3, Assassins Creed 2, and Uncharted 2- a weaker lineup than years past imo.

I bought the game yesterday and its an amazing game but there was better this year.

Think about it, theres still Forza 3, ODST, Uncharted 2. And this year we've already seen Resident Evil 5, Killzone 2, inFamous, and GTA Chinatown Wars which will proabably recieve a nomination but definately not win.

So it is that good huh? I might have to scoup it up tomorrow

After playing it for at least six or seven hours last night, I would say it's definitely a contender.sammyjenkis898

played it for 12 hours straight... told myself to give it a rest... got to the main menu, seen that I haven't even touched the challenge rooms... played for another 3 hours... came online, just finished writing a blog about it & reviewing it... it damn sure better win some awards... I love this game...

Definitely a contender. This is the best game I've played in a long time. I didn't even particularly like the demo, but the game is amazing.
