Batman AA Are combat challenges easier on easy level?

Does the level you choose at the beginning effect the difficulty of the combat and predator challenges?

I read somewhere that the challenge mode difficulty has nothing to do with the difficulty setting you play the game through.

i havnt tryed any of the challenges on hard but i thought that the counter hint icon doesnt appear over the enemys heads

Challenges are not effected by the difficulty you choose to play Story mode on.

Hard Mode means the counter won't appear over an enemies head, in Story.
But in Combat and Predator, the counter symbol does appear.
