Battlefield 3 Beta

I bought Medal of Honor yesterday (Amazing game btw) and it came with a invite to the Battlefield 3 beta. Did the beta already happen? Did I miss it? Or did it not happen yet? If it didn't happen yet, wouldn't that mean it would be canceled, because the game comes out in about 2 months, they definitely don't have time to do a beta, get the info they need, and release it within 2 months...

Lol beta hasnt happened yet ...i wish i could play it but getting MOH just isnt worth it and besides i have like 7 games i need to finish =P

The beta will start sometime next month. They just got finished with the closed alpha testing and they need time to process that data before releasing an updated beta build.

My guess is that the beta will be exclusively for server testing. They've already done alpha tests so they have the major balancing done already.

the beta is for online MP. Any fixes they need to do can be done through updating the game through online. So ya it's not pointless.

This is how most beta tests are done these days. :/ More of a demo than a beta. Need more betas like the Gears 3 beta. Months in advance and actually used to fix the game.

But as said above... The beta starts next month. MoH is certainly worth the 18$ youcan get it for at Gamestop. It's a solid game with some huge flaws. Oveall worth playing to pass some time, but nothing worth taking seriously. Your beta invite should be tied to your EA Gun Club account.
