Well, I was planning on pre-ordering battlefield 3 today... When I stumbled across the more info button after the word says battlefield 3... I'm pretty sure not all of this has been announced, as little to nothing has been announced concerning the locations and the things you can actually do in the battlefield...
So here's the link

http://www.gamestation.co.uk/gs/battlefield-3-110329?searchTerm=marvel%20vs%20capcom%203

If the link doesn't work - This is what it says.

Battlefield 3 leaps ahead of the competition with the power of Frostbite™ 2, the next instalment of DICE's cutting-edge game engine. This state-of-the-art technology is the foundation on which Battlefield 3 is built, delivering superior visual quality, a grand sense of scale, massive destruction, dynamic audio and incredibly lifelike character animations. As bullets whiz by, walls crumble, and explosions throw you to the ground, the battlefield feels more alive and interactive than ever before. In Battlefield 3, players step into the role of the elite U.S. Marines where they will experience heart-pounding single player missions and competitive multiplayer actions ranging across diverse locations from around the globe including Paris, Tehran and New York

Battlefield 3 features:

  • Frostbite 2 –Battlefield 3 introduces Frostbite 2, the incredible technology that takes animation, destruction, lighting, scale and audio to new heights. Built upon this powerful game engine, Battlefield 3 immerses players physically and emotionally to the world around them like never before.
  • Feel theBattleFeel the impact of bullets and explosions, drag your fallen comrades into safety, and mount your weapon on almost any part of the terrain. Battlefield 3's cutting edge animation, spectacular visuals and real as hell battle gameplay attack your senses and make you feel the visceral warriors experience like no other FPS.
  • Unparalleled Vehicle Warfare— The best online vehicle warfare experience gets even better with a fitting sonic boom as fighter jets headline impressive lineup of land, air and sea vehicles.
  • Urban Combat— Take the fight to iconic and unexpected places in the USA, Middle East, and Europe including claustrophobic streets, metropolitan downtowns, and open, vehicle-friendly landscapes as you fight your way through the war of tomorrow.

So by the sounds of it, it looks like you can actually drag fallen players to a medic - Sounds pretty epic.

But yeah, a few places announced in this, New York, Paris and Tehran.

Post what you think on this!

If this isn't new, then I am sorry.

PC has 64 player multiplayer, whilst xbox is stuck with 24... I'll have a better PC by then so I'll get it for PC, yet as my friends will be playing it on 360, I'll probably end up getting both :'( so much money on one game...

This sounds like the game to give the death blow to the CoD franchise for certain. I honestly prefer BFBC 2 and MoH's gameplay and style to that of MW2 or Blops, but all of my friends play those games so I just wind up playing with them. I think BF3 will pull alot of CoD hardcores over!

Yep, definately sounds cool, and much better than COD, on a side note, how is MoH's multiplayer doing? I watched some gameplay and it looks pretty fun, if I could find it for cheap would it be worth it?

MoH is actually a fun game to play. Imo it's campaign is much better than that of BFBC 2, Black Ops or MW2. As far as the multiplayer goes, I find it to be a mix of both BFBC 2 and MW2. While not purely as good as either of those all in all it has a pretty big population and is alot of fun to play. I actually find the immersion factor of MoH online to much, much more "realistic" than any CoD game and pretty close to what BFBC 2 offers.

The only complaint that I have with MoH online is that it is lacking in map count and to be quite honest is a little light on the frills that you get with CoD. But if you are looking for a competent FPS that is high on action and atmosphere but may be a bit light on the fancy things like titles, emblems and Killstreaks, then MoH is right up your alley.

I don't know why you'd play a Battlefield game on anything other than a PC, especially this one.

Damn straight i am looking forward to it! But I'll be getting it on the 360 or PS3 because I am not much of a PC gamer. Yea sure theres more players and probably more features and things to muck around with, but I never was a fan of the PC because of the investment that goes with it, like upgrading your computer to meet the games requirements. Atleast the 360 and PS3 doesnt give you the pain of doing that, yea sure it might not look as good but I am sure the developers will compensate somehow.

Bad wording, what I mean is that is the only option that some people have.

Meh, I'm not really a fan of Battlefield. BC2 is fun to play once in a while, but I don't see myself buying any more Battlefield games in the foreseeable future.

While dragging teammates sounds fun, I can imagine some of my friends dragging me off a rooftop or somewhere just as dangerous...

but if they are dragging you, they are going to be in just as much danger, and if its off a roof, they probably would have fallen first

When I saw "64 player multiplayer," I was about to hit the pre-order button. Then I saw "for PC only." :( I don't own a PC powerful enough to handle that.
