The demo was crap in my opinion. Rockafella143I absolutely agree. The controls were awful!! After watchig the demo video walkthough I thought it would be fun. Instead the game turned out to be garbage.
well eidos has another failure coming to the 360. hitman was like the only best game they made in history. but battlestations felt like a battlefield reject to me

That's probably because you didn't spend any time getting to learn the controls, or got owned because you didn't play as a team (not necessarily your fault). This is a GREAT game if you put a little time and effort into it. Good job Eidos!

you have to admit though, the discontent with the game isn't entirely peoples' fault. I learned how to do everything from the 8 minute demonstration video on youtube. w/o that I would've been completely lost. And even then I had to figure out a lot of things on my own. Not to mention the graphics are a bit sub par, and the demo is a bit glitchy. I'm not saying I don't like it, I do, and I really hope the flaws have been ironed out or at least polished in the final product, but I can see why people aren't too happy with it.

The Crackdown demo sold me, I loved it.
The Battlestations demo turned me away from the game though. I REALLY wanted this game to be something I'd like, but judging from the demo it's not. Granted I only played one game, but I couldn't even make my ships move 0.o It was weird. Like sometimes they'd do what I told them, otherwise they'd just float there. 'n one of my boats started to do barrel rolls in the water. Lol. Anyways not saying the game is bad or anything, just saying my experience with it sucked. Maybe I'll give it a second chance? Oh well. Too bad I Don't have any rental places around here, I could just rent it..
It seems like to me that most of you only like games that are easy to get in too.
Also it takes time to destroy a ship as it is not like in a FPS or a TPS were a couple of bullets can kill and is easy that anyone can do.
So hey whatever, and all of you are missing a really great game.

Agreed. I didn't play the demo but I have the full game and it is so much fun. I haven't gone online yet but am looking forward to it after I'm done with the campaign/challenges. It's not for everyone.
So many people are to stuck on graphics. They're not perfect, but the gameplay is fluid and addicting. it might only be a niche game but if you fall into that niche you will be in love.

I tried to play it, but they just showed me a port and I didn't know what to do. So I quit out of the game. Probably me just being a mo-mo or something, but wasn't the best experience either.
The graphics would be crap even for last gen, the sound was mediocre at best, and the controls were loose and unintuitive. And not only that but when I tried to leave after the game was over it froze my system. One battle and I un-installed it.capthavic
That's why they call it a ''demo''......Its not the finished product...And besides the game is great fun with killer anime cut scenes.....
Maybe 1 reason why people dislike this game is that the achievements are very difficult to obtain (minus a couple)
