I am thinking abotu buying a new console so I would like to ask you all some questions.

Whats wrong with the xbox360 arcade? Cant I store games and stuff onto a flash drive?

Can I plug in my flash drve or HDD via USB and view pictures?

Can I use a mouse to play FPS games?

Is it hard to play FPS games with the controller being used to the mouse?

What can an xbox do apart form gaming?

Can I store game demos on the xbox arcade?

I heard that the xbox can play Windows games, is that true?

Is an xbox good for casual gamers?

How does it look on an 1080i or 720p TV? Which one looks better 720p or 1080i?

What if the PS3 gets easy to code somehow and that untapped power gets uneashed. Will the xbox get trumped?

I will add more questions if you dont mind. :)

As of now you cant store items on a flash drive or take items from a flash drive so storing full XBLA games

Can I plug in my flash drve or HDD via USB and view pictures?

Im not sue off the top of my head.

Can I use a mouse to play FPS games?

Nope

Is it hard to play FPS games with the controller being used to the mouse?

I find that you have to play for a while in order to become acusstomed to a controller but I personnaly prefer a controller now as opposed to a mouse/keyboard

What can an xbox do apart form gaming?

View media like music, movies, and pictures. However the support is not very user friendly.

Can I store game demos on the xbox arcade?

Yes but if all you have is a memory card then you can't store much.

I heard that the xbox can play Windows games, is that true?

No you can't play windows games with a 360.

Is an xbox good for casual gamers?

Not reall, for casuals I would recemend a Wii

How does it look on an 1080i or 720p TV? Which one looks better 720p or 1080i?

1080i looks better. The games look really nice.

What if the PS3 gets easy to code somehow and that untapped power gets uneashed. Will the xbox get trumped?

I think it all comes down to the games. We will have to wait and see.

Sounds like you're the type who prefers to play games on a PC - just stick to what works for you.

the arcade comes with a ememory card instead of a hard drive. aftera while the 512 memory will get full.

i know that u can play music off the usb flash drive on the 360.

no mouse yet, i don'tthrer will be one to come out.

no not at all once u get use to playing witha controller.

u can download movies and videos from the xbox market place. i don't do that u have to buy microsoft points.

u can but it will get full prity quickly if u do.

i don't think it can but i knowu can instant message on the 360.

i would say yes it is good for casual gamers but i think any system is good for a casual person.

idk i don't play my 360 on a hd tv.

thanks for the replies

I used to find it hard to play FPS games with the PS2. does that make a difference? Or was the dual shock 2 just not good for FPS games? With the mouse, I just dart the crosshair to where the enemy is and then have slight adjustments and then blow him off.

Once you get immersed into a game, the graphics and stuff dont matter as much then, you jsut dont feel that they are spectacular anymore. Do you think the advantage the xbox has over other less powerful consoles will be invalid then?

If I want to buy a used xbox for trial or whatever on ebay, how can I make sure its not busted or whatnot?

I used to play alot of CS and BF on the PC, Just couldn't keep up with the upgrades with Crysis so i switched to 360. At first its weird to use the controller but after awhile you'll get use to it, just mess with the sensitivity. Also there is a adapter so you can plug your mouse and keyboard and play FPS, i bought one XFPS 360 PRO but wasn't to my liking so i stuck with the controller.

Nice, so how would it look if I got a 19" TV and put it on my desk so it looked just like I am playing on my PC?

Can i use my xbox with a monitor?

I don't think you can use an xbox with a PC monitor.

Also, I would NEVER trust ebay and buy a 360 on there. Who knows what your getting. Don't buy an xbox if your not sure. I actually prefer the Xbox 360 over a PC for FPS'.

YES you can use a 360 with a PC monitor. You simply need the VGA adapter,Microsoft has oe for about $40 or you can get a 3rd pary one for half the price :) AS to your other questions it seems they have all been answered. And dont forget about Xbox Live:D

1. No you can't use a flash drive, you're best getting the premium. You'll have no problems if you don't download movies and maintain your hard drive.

2. No

3. No, you'll get used to it quickly

4. I watch movies and listen to music on it from my Ipod. You can download music videos and other things now too and buy movies.

5. Nope, not enough space.

6. No.

7. It is actually but it's a lot better for hardcore gamers. The Wii is better for people who don't really game.

8. I don't notice a difference

9. No, there are so many exclusive 360 franchises no console is going to get trumped

i honestly think you should just upgrade your computer with that $400, you could get a 3870x2 for that money. you sound almost like a troll pointing out the many ways the xbox comes short in terms of a PC but if you are being serious i apologize. i love my xbox and game on my PC as well, but you sound very skeptical

oh my PC is not worth upgrading. It has an AGP slot and a 2.8 ghz Pentium 4 and its yucky. lol I dont think spending $400 just for graphic cards is good when I can get a complete console which can play games for me for a long time wihtout any upgrades.

I would recommend a premium.
