Is there any other way of curing Vampirism in Oblivion besides doing the Quest? (I can't use the altars because I'm part of the Dark Brotherhood).
If not, how long is the Quest to cure yourself and how rubbish is it?

It's not as cool as you might think. It's actually quite a pain in the rump....:(

I guess I am the only one with enjoyed being a Vampire. Invisibility + being able to hold a ton of stuff was great. I want to go back but I cant now that its cured. Stinks.limpbizkit818It would be cool if when you bit your Victims they died so you could be like a Serial Killer. :P
The Cons seem to outweigh the Pros with becoming a vampire. I still haven't taken that offer from the Dark Brotherhood Vampire and I don't think I ever will.njdss4The only real con is that the daylight hurts you. Big deal.

And people stop talking to you, too. That's huge when you're trying to get quests done. If you level up smartly you'll never need to become a vampire.

I don't even remember what it was called. The thing with the mini game, shows how much they like you) to 100. You can use it once a day. I never ran into a problem with it.

yeah being a vampire nearly made me stop playingChack1598
Ditto, it's annoying as hell.
The cure quest first starts by speaking to the vampire king, I think its of Charrol, then going to see a witch. You have to give her 4 grand soul gems to start the quest, so yes, its a pain.Â
My question is, let's say you become a vampire. Then you do the quest, now you're not a vampire, whoopee! But what if you become a vampire again? How do you get it cured a second time??
There is a download for it, it is called vial lar. you go there and it will cure it. but you have to do somethings inside, it just will not cure you by going in. it is this way or do the quest.Army_Veteranyah that's it

I could be invisible with a suit of armor that had 5 pieces enchanted with 20% chameleon... I can go out whenever too. Do the Thieves Guild questline and you don't have to worry about encumberance either... or just have the rest of your armor and accessories enchanted with feather.
I played probably the vast majority of the game as a Vampire and had no problem doing it even in sunlight. you just need to know how to play it properly. Most people do not have the patience to learn the quirks and methods to travel safely even in daylight. It is a pain at first but I found it to be the most entertaining part of being the Rogue that I was. Unstoppable, unmatched, and the abilities espeshally when in the later stages are insane.
 Very Enjoyable.
I cant find enough grand soul gems to start the mission. WHere can i get some.ravine1
I am curious on this too, i am one short, and ive been stuck for quite while

yea i made a character where right out of the sewers i rushed over to a castle with vampires and got myself infected, and so long as you feed everynow and then its great, your stronger, and if you progress to lvl 4 vamp mode you pretty much destroy any and everything in your path.Â

But before even agreeing to help you, she requires five empty Grand Soul Gems. If you are at least level 11, there is small chance of finding empty grand soul gems in most dungeon chests. If you are at least level 15, any of the Merchants who sell magical equipment may stock them. Places where you can always find empty grand soul gems include:idk if it was a glitch, but after i got all the acheviements, i didnt have the side effects of it (being hurt in daylight) but i still had all the pros of being a vampire, but not the cons.Is there any other way of curing Vampirism in Oblivion besides doing the Quest? No, you're not the only one, my character has been a vampire for half my game and I don't regret a single moment. I have two(!) cures staring me in the face (I've got the Vile Lair and completed the cure quest) and I've never used either. I really don't want to go back now.
