Besides Halo 3, which title will be the best selling game this holiday season? Why?
If you select other then please state the game you think it will be.

GTAIV
when u look at the success around san andreas, and the fact that it was sold out for weeks (in ireland anyway), it'll be the biggest seller this christmas
Call of Duty 4 because the mainstream audience has no idea what Bioshock or Mass Effect is. Grand Theft Auto will be close, but CoD will win because it is an established franchise and you don't kill hookers in it.
GTA is the one of the most over rated games of all time. All they do is add a few new elements to each one.. update graphics, create a new story line.. then you run around stealing cars and killing people. Yes, a solid enjoyable expirence. But.. after the first time--It no longer becoems revolutionary, or amazing. IT becomes stale and repetative.RainandSunshine
What do you think happens in every game series? It's still going to have the basic principles and such. Also, adding a few new elements, updating graphics and creating a new story line is a lot more than most series' do. What should they do to become revolutionary? Change it to a gardening sim? GRAND THEFT AUTO: TURNIP SEED STORIES
I mean no offense and I'm not huge for GTA but I still have to admit that it's a good game and jacking cars and beating people with various blunt objects just doesn't get old. Maybe that's just me...

I mean all games do the same thing but they add a little to it. Like shooting games. You get new weapons, new areas to kill people in, and some new enemies. Fighting games. Some new characters, new moves, and some new unlockables. Racing games. You drive around for money, you buy a new car with that money and pimp it out so to speak or do it to your other car, then race for money again and repeat. Then there are the sports game. The best example of a repetitive game. They rarley add anything note worthy. They update the graphics(but still fall short of what they said it look like), updated teams(yes 5 new players), a new mode(if your lucky), and the exact same gameplay that you bought last year(and the year before that and the year before that). But like some people when you insult something they like and they have to prove you wrong. But then they realize that we all like different things. Like me. I love GTA. But you call it repetitive and I have to show you how all games are repetitive.
A lot of you are voting for GTA, but that's not a holiday game, is it?
I voted for Mass Effect, but I hope Rock Band sells like hotcakes, because I know I'm getting it, and I want the most support and online community as possible. Also, the announcement of a "substantial amount of Metallica" in the game sealed the deal for me. Also, if you go to the 360 Rock Band forum here at Gamespot, I posted an article from Metallica.com that makes it sound like Metallica themselves will be in the game. Awesome.
