I love FPS's and shooters(Know I will be burned alive by the gaming community for confusing the 2, although they are one and the same to me!) Halo 2, Halo 3, CoD4, CoD:WaW, BF: Bad Company, Gears of War - all amazing games, some with better campaigns than online and visa versa but all brilliant in their own right. I want to know your favs of all time and what I should play that I might not have done..............and why! Plus, any insider info? What should we all be looking out for soon?
Forget all the new titles, the best FPS title ever for me was Tribes 2. Jet packs, grenade launchers, CTF, bots, base construction and maintenace, vehicles.
Portal is NOT an fps/shooter, it's a puzzle game and even though it's a damn good game it doesn't belong on this forum. I would say that it is either goldeney b/c it changed the genre, half-life b/c it is pure awesome, or COD4 because it is just amazing and has the best multiplayer of any game known to man.
I've got to admit that I am yet to play on Gears of War 2, I loved the first installment but only the campaign, I was massively disappointed by the online play so I was put off from spending my hard earned cash on a game I would play through just once. Can anyone give me a review of the online playability of Gears of War 2 please? Also, Halo 1/2/3 are awesome, many all nighters spent frag-festing.............best by far is Halo 2 online and Halo 1 campaign. Halo Wars is just not my cup of tea, shame really!
