Episode 2 and Portal. Half Life 2 would undoubtedly be the best, but I already played it before getting Orange Box.

I got it for the Half-Life series because in the five or six years I've been hearing about it from people, I never really played it and wanted to try it out.

This makes me think of American Psycho, when Patrick Bateman is talking about his Whitney Houston CD, "It's hard to pick a favorite with so many great tracks."

Half-Life is a pillar of the shooter genre, and as a gamer who still has his boxed copy of the Doom shareware, it's hard not pick this as the defining title of The Orange Box.

However, Portal presented an incredible gameplay experience. There's really nothing like it. I finished it in two (multi-hour) settings. It was awesome. And the song at the end? F***ing hilarious.

Finally, we come to Team Fortress. I played the h*** out of Team Fortress C*l*a*ssic [thank you Gamespot censor] on the original Half-Life engine when I was in high school. It was great to see the game re-imagined in such an enjoyable fashion.

In conclusion, I am unable to pick a favorite game on The Orange Box, and have nothing to offer this thread.

I bought it mostly for HL2: Episode 2 and Portal. I had already played HL2 and HL2: Ep. 1.

I enjoyed Episode 2 the most. From the beginning of the game, to saving Alyx, to the strider battle, to the great ending Episode two was a short and sweet masterpiece. Every part of the Orange Box is incredibly satisfying though.
