Either Oblivion for the sheer number of hours I spent playing it, Call of Duty 4 for it's amazing SP and MP or Rock Band for its crazy go nuts awesome MP, and even good SP.
I'm gonna say oblivion, Halo 3 and Gears of War are close seconds, Bioshock in third, Orange Box fourth, and Assassin's Creed fifth (I still didn't play COD 4 and I didn't get GH 3 yet)

they are still making games for the 360 so you can have a best game to date but how do you know that a game that hasnt been released will be better or not then a game released last year.

With so many outstanding games to chose from this is a hard one. Every gamer will be different but my personal favorites are: Shooters Call of Duty 4, RPG Eternal Sonata, Sports Fight Night 3, General goof around Battle Stations Midway. Mass Effect, Assassin's Creed, Gears of War,and Halo 3 are must haves. Really, this year has been a game year for gaming and to pin one game down as being the best is difficult. I just had a blast all year long. Bioshock and the Orange Box, Man the list could go on and on and on. Sorry I just could not pick one game.
for me it has to be H3 or Gears of War, but i hvnt got COD4 so im not sure yet. from wat ive heard cod4 is awesome, but the first 3 werent that good.AX833
