Yeah.. right. I might agree if Oblivion weren't a steaming pile but whatever.
Marvel Ultimate Alliance, a number of XBLA games, and well, pretty much anything else because I hate multiplayer.
You cant go wrong with Mass Effect, one of the best offline games you can get, the story will thrill you once, twice and when you think it cant excite you anymore, then you are certainly mistaking for it will keep on living on your 360 for years to come:D

Who can't deny lesbian action. That part of the story was better than rogue kissing storm in Marvel vs. Capcom 2

If you want to say Oblivion sucks, thats fine with me, but atleast back the statement up with opinions on why it sucks.I might have to say Devil May Cry 4, Dead Rising, Eternal Sonata, and the upcoming Tales of Vesperia.flashn00b

If you want to say Oblivion sucks, thats fine with me, but atleast back the statement up with opinions on why it sucks.Always with the opinions you people. I've said it all a million times before.
In short.
- Soulless, stuck up it's own behind gameplay, stuffy NPC's with little/no character.
- Combat/inventory/controls were a terrible attempt to make both sets of people (console tards and PC fanboys) happy, but only resulted in a clunky annoyance.
- Weak plot which I tried hard to care about, but just gave up.
- Soulless, characterless environment. Sure, I dont mind wandering about an empty waste for hours, but if your gonna populate it with random shrubs and nothing else, you might as well have just not made it. Put some effort in and actually make the terrain yourself.
- The three previous iterations in the series were all MUCH better, and got progressively worse culminating in what can only be described as Mainstream. Explaining it's rediculous success and faux trophy status.
And before you spout all the regular fanboy defenses (I'm bad at the game, i've got ADHD, I cant appreciate 'games are art') i've finished the game several times, i've been perfectly able to enjoy other RPG's so it's not ADHD, and Okami, Killer 7 etc etc are perfect examples or artistic design being deserving of reward. So no, i dont hate it for any of those reasons. I hate it because I geniunely find it to be boring, generic, clunky, etc. And it's dev team isn't helping itself by being so stuck up.
I respect your opinion, and I wasnt going to say you suck at the game... Its a pretty easy game, regardless of how many RPG's youve played. And no, Ive never seen you post that before, seeing as Ive only been a member for a month or two.Matt-4542
Nah I wasn't griping at your personally. Just in general, every time somebody says "I don't like that game" everyone is all "WHY!!!???" *aims shotgun*
And the general responses to any criticism seem to be "You must suck at the game", "You find it boring because you're attention span is that of a gnat" or "It's ART, leave it ALONE!!!" So I just made those defunct before people started shouting them.
Personally I just wish people could see the game how I see it, and stop praising it so much. But it's got patented Halo syndrome, in that it was aimed at people who had never experienced that type of genre before, and had all the corners cut off so those people wouldn't get frustrated. Leaving a sour taste in the mouths of fans who initially supported the series. (With each iteration, The Elder Scrolls have become more and more soulles, boring, generic, less explorative and give you less and less character options.)
Also i'm just bitter whenever anyone mentions anything close to Bethesda, given their current 'project'. Project: Ruin My Favorite Franchise.
Crackdown, Project Gotham 3 & 4, Mass Effect
Also I have to agree with diablobasher on Oblivion. Similar reasons, couldn't stand the user-interface and changes to controls, and found the storyline really hard to engage with and get interested in. I've spent easily 200+ hours on Morrowind, and countless other RPG's that I did find very addictive and wanted to keep coming back to play, but I found this element was missing when I played Oblivion. It is pretty, and looks nice, but that should never be the main selling point of an RPG.
