Well the only games that will really have close 2 the amount of hours as oblivion has are RPG, and there is hardly any on the 360, Fable 2 is prolly gonna be good, not gonna anywhere near as long as oblivion, but it'll be a good game i hope

Call of Duty 2 Maybe, that's my favorite 360 game and I think it took me around 10 hours to complete. But I was taking it really slow. Or you could get both CoD 2 and 3 so you can get LOTS of gameplay time :)

Don't listen to him, you will get AT LEAST 8 hours on any difficulty besides easy, probably even 12 hours on veteran. Longest, and possibly the best campaign out of all the shooters for the 360.

Ehhh...Saints Row? The fun where's off kinda quick, though. Other than Oblivion, the only other title that comes close to play time is Gears of War, obviously.

I don't mean to flame anyone, but honestly many of these people replying in this thread don't know what they are talking about.  When you have to add up time it took you to get the achievment points, your obviously desperate for a game length number, and using achievement accomplishment time, is a terrible way of calculating how much length there is to a campaign, for those of you that don't seem to get it, length of the campaign is how long it takes you to play through that mode 1 single time.

Games like Dead Rising that have multiple endings in my opinion don't fecking count because it's a cheap assed gimmick to make you play through 90% or more of the exact same crap just to get a different cut scene at the end.  But if you like that kind of thing, then Dead Rising has some value, otherwise on a single play through it isn't that long.

Almost any shooter out right now for the 360 and most action games, they are not that long.  GRAW 1-2, R6V, Lost Planet, Gears of War, CofD 2-3, they are all in the 5-10 hour range at best for reasonably average player first time through, some maybe a little over that if you take your time.  Dead Rising is around there too one one play through, but it has various endings.

There are not a lot of games that have a deep single player experience right now, but by the end of summer both Mass Effect and Bioshock will be out, and both of them are dedicated to great single player, both promising to offer 25-50 hours or more of a single player adventure with Mass Effect much more promising on length, but still Bioshock should offer atleast twice or more from the usual shooter and is solely working on single player campaign.

Right now, it may not be what your looking for, but Ultimate Alliance offers a much longer campaign than most action and shooter games, it's probably in the 14-20 hour bracket for campaign.  So give that one a look.  Other than that or some of the RPGs, there are not too many games in the action or shooter genre that offer any stand out game length from one another.

I know that the TC did not specifically say "shooter or action" games, but those are the type of games that usually refer to the single player story section as the "Campaign" so that's why I stuck with those genres.

Yeah go with oblivion, and if you have that already you might want to pick up oblivion it's almost as long.

Dead Raising is pretty sick but def not very long unless you like going for achievements because this one has the best achievements out of all the 360 games out there right now.

Saint's Row has a long campaign and alot of side quests. You get alot of value out of it. It's kind of like Oblivion meets GTA.

I'm playing Viva Pinata right now and it seems quite long.  I have roughly almost 20 hours into the game and as you can see, only have 680/1000 for achievement points.

All the games I have for the 360 are pretty well short to comparible lengths. Oblivion no doubt will give you the most hours but since you dont want that game I would suggest either of the Call of Duties.
