What is the best HD resolution (again excluding 1080p, coz i might be getting a 32' LCD HDTV) for playing 360 games? I heard 720p is the best coz of the faster framerate and that 1080i is better for slow moving images?

Cheers in advance.

It depends on the tv a bit, but 720p is usually best.

The 360's native resolution is 720p, so if you have a TV that supports 720p, it should look the best. However, 1080i still looks great.

Depends on display. Try both and choose the one that works the best for you.

false, you can set the 360's resolution, but ultimately depemds on what the game is capable of displaying, most games show both 720p and 1080i so then its down to choosing which resolution you prefer on the xbox. On a smaller screen its going to be harder to notice the difference between the resolution of both 720p and 108i. IF you ould be playing on a screen 40'+ you wil start noticing the difference. But like you said for fast paced games 720p, for slow paced games 1080i.

Most of the games lookmuch betteron 720p (cause the refresh rate is twice as fast for being progressive scan). 1080i will help just in the movies. Check some previews o gamespot ad you'll see them mention "the game look great even when it's displayed in a 1080i HDTV"

I'd go for 720p man (just check it's 720 and no 768)

Imo it's best to set the 360 at 720p and let your tv upscale it to it's native rez because the scaler in the 360 is a little...iffy.

I just played on my friend's 360 today at his house on his 52' HDTV (playing Call of Duty 2 on 720p), and I can honestly say there was no difference to SD. What a waste.
