What does everyone think the best JRPG on 360 is? I currently have Blue Dragon and Enchanted Arms and they are ok but not that great imo. I have played the demo for Eternal Sonata and that seems pretty good. What is Lost Odyssey like? I have heard some good stuff and bad stuff about it. Just getting everyone's thoughts, sorry if there is already a topic for this.

Well, in my opinion, I really do not think there are GREAT JRPG's for the X-box 360. The best hope I could give you is rent one before you buy one. I personally, is not really into any on the X-box 360.

Well in my opinion Lost Odyssey is a great JRPG. I would definitely recommend it, it's long, it looks great, it has great combat and it's got good characters. Also easy to get addicted to.

I've played most of the JRPGs on the Xbox and I'd also recommend LO. It's agreat game followed up by Eternal Sonata.

I definately agree with everyone else- Lost Odyssey is the best JRPG for the 360 right now

Eternal Sonata is definately good too - kind of linear and short though

Lost Odyssey is a fabtastic game, one of the best JRPGs I've ever played. It's got a nice old school feel about it. As for the others, Blue Dragon's...ok. The story is total (insert swear word), but the battles are fun, despite the fact that they can be beaten by constantly selecting Attack on the easier modes. Eternal Sonata gets old fast. Story is boring, and there's not much to the battles. It's also short for a JRPG. Enchanted Arms is ok , not great. Battles are a bt meh, story is ok. You could do worse, but you could do a lot better. If you're looking for a JRPG, get Lost Odyssey. It's got the best story and characters, the music is fantastic, but the battles can be sloooooooow. Still a great game though.

LO is kinda boring... And the dreams is sooo annoying! But other then that its a good game.

The dreams are fantastic reads, and youy don't have to read them. I personally enjoyed them a lot, in fact I liked the dreams more than most of the actual conversation in the game :p

Yeah, But you know i was thinking like... Sinse when do you have a text based dream? You know, I mean isnt there supposed to be a voice and OMG it would have been soo nice if someone spoke whatever it said.. lol

Good point, but the dreams were written by a famous Japanese novelist. He's used to writing novels, which are text obviously :P, so I'm sure they just plaed to his strengths and left them as short stories. I loved them though, I hope that if there's a sequel they'll make a much welcome return.

lost odysee is IMO what the final fantasy series should be STORYWISE. final fantasy has recently been pumping out RPGS that have forgettable cliche characters, forgettable storys writhed with political and religous nonsense, and hardly any background information on its main characters. and the way they took ff12 to be more like an offline MMO gameplay kinda blew.

lost odysee is by far the best JRPG on the 360. sure LO had a political story, but it wasnt convoluded, and it was more of a sci fi story than political. unlike ff10 and 12. (i admit 10 was great but i forgot what 12 was about a week after i beat it)

lost odysee was rated lower than it should have gotten because it was a traditional JRPG nothing more, nothing less. but many play JRPGS for the storys, not the crappy tie in cross genre minigame crap.

Lost odysee hands down is one of the better JRPGS (if not the best,) since FFX

Lost Odyssey's easily the best. It has wide appeal and a lot of great aspects.

I loathed Eternal Sonata (purely for the overly ponderous, pseudo-philosophical garbage which was reitereated over and over in every cutscene). Makoto let Enchanted Arms down. I hate Makoto.

I just finished Blue Dragon a month ago and am currently playing Enchanted Arms (which is just "okay" but addictive because I want to get it done) and Lost Odyssey (which I'm stuck at so I go back to Enchanted Arms). I haven't played or heard too much about Eternal Sonata though...So I'm looking into that. I can't say that I'm overly impressed with any of them at the moment.

Enchanted arms in awful, i am trying to get into it but just cant. I beat final fantasy 13 and lost odyssey and am having a good time watching my fiance play eternal sonota but i need something different to play. i tried the demo for tales but i don't want to get it unless it will be worth my while, any other good turn based games??
