Best offline game

whats the best non xbox live game?

Gears of War (sure, it may be short but you will have a blast playing through it).

WWE SmackDown! vs. RAW 2007 (you pretty much get everything, because online is just like fighting an hard opponent in single-player anyway...)

Also Call of Duty 2/3... great Campaigns for both games.

1. Hitman was good, and I'm sure you could buy it for cheap.

2. Dead Rising was fun as well, and it too has dropped in price.

3.Saints Row had an online feature but its singleplayer was really in-depth which made it a great buy for just singleplayer.

4. Oblivion was fun and will be the cleche answer for single player only games.

All these games were very fun, my favorites would have to be Saints Row and Dead Rising.

Guitar Hero II is VERY addictive and has enough replay value to keep you coming back for more.NATEDOGG1993

i picked that up right away when it came out without having touched guitar hero before it

Best option that ISN'T rated "M" is Forza Motorsport 2, by a long shot. Oblivion is the best overall, hands down.

Best single player games overall are (in no order):
1) Oblivion
2) Forza Motorsport 2
3) Guitar Hero 2
4) Tony Hawk Project 8
5) Hitman Blood Money
6) Dead Rising.

Oh man, I just knew I was going to see Gears of War suggested... and it makes me "lol".... but to each their own. I'd say Oblivion is the way to go on this one. Forza 2, Marvel, and others are a great bit of fun too.Staryoshi87

Nothing negative, just making a short comment, but everytime I see you say something in a thread it's usually bashing Gears. I know the whole "you have your opinion", but you think you could get over it...

I just happen to chance upon many Gears related threads today. One asking what my least favorite game is and this one. I enjoy stating my Gears-hate and I'm not doing it blindly, I'm doing it within the context of the various topics. I'm not telling anybody else they should feel that way. Also, do you think it's a great offline game? Because I sure don't, considering the multiplayer is what brings one back to gears, imo.
