not really , there is no input lag on monitors especially when playing multiplayer games. I dont know if you got a chance to play on monitor and than switch to a HDTV there is a big difference in response rate .  Nerd Talk :)

I don't know a lot about newer monitors because I got mine four years ago.

I don't know the model name or anything, but I have an ASUS 27 inch monitor. It's 1080p with speakers built in with two HDMI ports and a VGA port, so you can hook up more things (I have my PC, Xbox, and PS3 on the same monitor).

It also has a remote if that matters to you.
