So what makes Grid better than any of the other racing games on the market?

Forza 2 is the best racing game in terms of simulation. Burnout: Paradise is the best arcade racing game.

Well Burnout: Paradise is fun, but there is no car customization besides changing paint schemes. I like the controls for that game, there are a lot of cars, and a lot of races, plus online play which is fun. The real downside though, is not being able to restart a race, but having to drive back all the way to the start. That and driving to the various races spread throughout the huge map. At first it's ok and not too bothersome, but having to do a ton of races to get all the licenses is a bit maddening.

pgr3 or 4 are by far the best. and the best part is pgr3 is £4 (around $6 if you are in the us).

also grid is awesome, burnout is cool and so much to do but no customization, forza is a good sim, and also nfs carbon and most wanted are pretty godd. DON NOT get prostreet!

oh yeah and i almost forgot - midnight club:la. the best street racing game on 360 definite. and it has loads of customization.

DiRT is a very good game, though has virtually no customisation and is mainly a single player game. There is online, but very limited and you don't see the other cars. GRID - avoid this - the single player has some of the worst racing AI ever. It uses rubber-banding excessively, removing most of the benefit from getting better at the game. Online is dominated by people turning each race into a destruction derby, racing backwards, or just trying to ruin it for people wanting to race. Forza 2 is really the only choice if you are wanting a simulation racer NFS Prostreet has plenty of car customisation, but the game itself is a big step backwards for the NFS franchise. Quite fun if you like tweaking and tuning, but there tends to be a few blueprints that dominate, particularly in drag racing. PGR4 is an excellent all rounder, has cars and bikes, plenty of online game modes and plenty of people playing. Test Drive Unlimited is another very fun racer, often overlooked. It has the largest gameworld of any racer on 360, recreating the Hawaiian island of Oahu, and hundreds of races. It is very tied into online, so you can always find other people to race against, and start instant challenges just by flashing your lights at other drivers (something Burnout Paradise adopted). There is some car customisation, you can buy upgrade packages, and do custom paint jobs. Burnout Paradise is another fun racer, though definitely aimed more towards arcadey fun and huge crashes.
