On X360 the best JRPG is Lost Odyssey, best RPG I would say was either Oblivion or Fallout 3. Chrono Trigger is a great game, it was on the Snes and remade for DS, and Pokemon as we all know on DS.
I haven't played any of those RPG games & I'm an RPG fan so IDK why you put up a list & ask people what is the best RPG. My Favorite all-time RPG is FF7, for the 360 TOV is my best bet, for the PS2 it's a tie between FF10 & DQ8.

I mean it's good, don't get me wrong, but I feel like it isn't nearly as great as people brag it up to be. It's just another RPG worth checking out, I will leave it at that. What genre a game belongs to, is in the eye of the beholder. While you and I may not think of PoP as an RPG, it might incorporate RPG elements or gameplay styles that we haven't considered. Personally, I think grouping games by type kind of limits us, and should only be used as a tool to give us a general idea of what best describes the game.
Best of all time, Chrono Trigger would probably get my vote. Lost track of how many times I have beaten it. I'd probably put Final Fantasy VI at number 2, yeah I'm one of those SNES RPG fanboys, and I think I would actually put Persona 4 at number 3... My favorite 360 RPG thus far is Tales of Vesperia followed by Fallout 3. The Witcher takes over as my favorite 360 RPG when it eventually gets released on the consoles (I have already played and beaten the PC version and that game is godly)

Very true, for example the "Be A Pro" mode that has flooded the sports game genre (most notably for me is Road to the Show mode in MLB: The Show) is essentially an RPG mode for your sports game.

I never thought about it that way. Oh well. I'm sticking with the actually genres. Without them, people would argue about Assassin's Creeed being an RTS, or Perfect Dark Zero being an RPG. It all helps with the order of the gaming world. Without order, we are nothing but lifeless tools for the rich and powerful.
Kotor 1 (2 sucked), it had a GREAT story and you could spend forever on it. Also Oblivion for the fact that you can spend so much time on it and still not do everything in the game.
