What game did you guys enjoy that had an awesome single player story, you can name a few cuz i want to buy a game cuz im sick of playing multiplayer on cod4, but i want a single player game that doesnt get boring.
Condemned is a love or hate game, I personally had a lot of fun with it as it is very unique. It's super cheap now that the second one is out and I would say it's worth playing if you like FPS style games...
BioShock. One of the best games I've played. I fell in love with Raputre.
And, about Mass Effect; If you want to get all you can out of Mass Effect, it's pretty boring. The side quests are beyond repetitive. The main quest is great. Not doing the side quests will cut you down a great deal of time, though. But, yes; The side quests make it a boring game.

Well if you want to wait, the best single player game for 360 is going to be BRUTAL LEGEND. I played Schafer's last game like crazy, and even though this one is way different, it is going to be totally sweet. Rocktober 13th is going to go down as the day the best game ever came out, BRUTAL LEGEND!! That is my recommendation.

Oblivion is a must play game in my book, but when in doubt, you can't go wrong with The Orange Box. It has Half-Life 2, both expansions for Half-Life 2, and Portal(amazing game, but very short).

And Mass Effect is no where near 40-50 hours if you don't do side missions. Main quest is pretty good. Short, but good. Stay away from the side missions. Oblivion is fantastic and don't forget the Orange Box.
Hands down Oblivion. The best rpg of the decade, no doubt about it. I put around 190 hours into that game and still had a lot left over to do. You should also try Sacred 2: Fallen Angel, it's a multiplayer rpg game, sorta like a mini mmo with 4 players lol. Fable 2 is also very good. Mass Effect is also amazing.
I have often wonderd this myself since I am not big on coop or mp. I don't play all that much but i still like to play 360 SP every so often & I am also very interested in games which are better for online and those that are better for SP. In my opinion these are the best games so far for SP on the 360 in no particular order. Red Dead Redemption Skyrim V Final Fantasy VII Saints Row 3rd( not the best game in the world but an all around fun game) Assassins Creed II GTA, (although the best gta ever in my opinion was san andreas for the original system so far, seeing as how GTA5 has been pushed back for what seems like 5 years) Portal 2 There are a few other games ive heard are good solo but havnt played personally and they are mass effect3, minecraft, la noire, etc On a side note it also depends on which games you enjoy. I myself prefer more action, action adventure, & open world/sandbox rpgs and action adventure games much more than first person shooters and the newly name role-playing shooter games.... Ive also discovered that most fps' tend to be much more popular do to their multiplayer appeal.
