i would say for semi sleepers of all categories:
.pure, lotr bfme2(was only 4$ at eb games) and for online if u havent tried it bf bad company (i know not really a sleeper)
Chromehounds... it did well in Asia... but almost nonexistant in the US/EU... A really fun game if you like a lot of customization and tactical gameplay...
Crackdown... the game itself was hidden by the fact it allowed access to the Halo 3 Beta... even reviewers talked about the beta in their reviews of Crackdown, which is just silly... one of the best 360 games IMO...
Also Saints Row 1 and 2... both were widely overlooked because all of the reviews for them were extremely biased... Every single review for both games mentioned GTA4 up and down the wazoo... For Saints Row 1... it was always "A GTA clone to tide us over until GTA4"... then for Saints Row 2... it was always "A GTA clone that was no where near as good as GTA4"... some reviews even downright criticized the game for things it didn't even do... Like the IGN review of SR2... it said that SR2 outright stole the lobby sytem of GTA4 where players could run around and have fun before games... when SR1 had that feature 2 years before the release of GTA4... both are awesome games... the stories aren't as good as GTA4 (they are meant to be funny)... but both offer tons of other activities and side missions (unlike GTA4)...
Rainbow Six Vegas 2 is good. So is Crackdown. There is also Far Cry 2 (which some call a sleeper hit). You'll be happy with any of those, but Crackdown is probably the best choice out of the three.
Also, Just Cause is a really cool game. It can have some annoying glitches, but overall the game was very enjoyable. Now that it has been out a while, you can get it for a really, really good price. It's definitely worth it.
I feel that most games now are so publisized now it's hard for any level of game to go under the radar. And because games are not like movies, it's hard for lower production games to be as good as games with bug budgets and big teams working on them.
This is especially true for people that come to this site with any sort of regularity. You can be sure if a game that looks good is coming out, your going to hear about it.
ummmm no thats why the game is forgotten. Rainbow six vegas was better.I dont have it yet but Rainbow six Vegas 2 is awsome. i have played my friends game.
If you like unlocking new weapons/armor and upgrades you will probably like it.
so far the best in the Rainbow six series.
