Best way to make friends on XBL?

Dumb question I know but here's my situation. I have 3 RL friends who I play XBL with, only prob is the only games they play MP on is Halo 3 and ODST firefight, thats it, period. They all got MW2 played the single player then returned it, and they get other games, but only Halo is allowed MP time. I've tried sending friend requests to people in MW 2 but I get told to **** myself. Just wondering the best way to get some friends on my list that I can play some spec ops or MP with on MW 2 or other games for a change. And no, im not a 13 yr old im in my mid twenties lol

Just don't. People on XBL are stupid. But that's my view.

They should message you. Not the other way around.

oh i make real friends all the time. also for some reason everytime i find out they play xbox, they usually hate all other games and worship Halo

- Play random matches and send friend requests to those you had a good time with.

- Ask anyone on these forums...or anyone on any gaming forums. Don't put anyone that has a bad/elitist/idiotic attitude though as it's possible that have that attitude in live or in real life as well.

- If someone is asking for help on an achievement or whatever (such as ODST firefight) join up with them. If you accomplished the job and had a good time doing it, chances are they'll probably keep you in their Friends List.

- If you have friends in real life and if they have live accounts, add them.

well i used to play L4D a lot online with random ppl and i usually got at least 1 FR from the ppl i was playing with. or RB2.

Anyways, the only times I've made friends in games like CoD or Halo are when the same poeple keep playing over and over again, if they see you like a good teammate, they will add you, or at least they won't tell you to **** off/yourself/etc. But most of my friends come from games like Marvel v Capcom/Mortal Kombat. Usually when I have a GOOD game with someone I receive or send a message saying 'GG,' which is followed with another message, like 'we should play again' or 'wanna play again?' OR 'rematch?' and there you go, friend request and you got yourself an xbox live friend (most people playing those arcade games own at least one game like halo/gow/cod/etc.)

Ironic, considering that in general, the Youtube community is no better than the Live community...or most internet communities in general. But to the op, like i said, if you trying to get buddies, be nice and friendly and just steer clear from the idiots...no matter where you are.

I never add people unless I know them in real life. I always get friend requests but I rarely send them out.

I've actually met my best friends over XBL. It's really hard to believe I know, but thinking back on meeting them, I just wonder about the slight differences in choice I could've made that would've resulted in me not meeting one of them. The number of people I'd say are/were my true friends on XBL: Really really good friends- 4, true and best friends- 1.

Just don't act like a immature person that's how I got my friends though I don't have many friends 23 to be exact because I rarely talk but when I do I try to help and mute people who act like they should be in a mental hospital or in kindergarten
